हरनोड़ा ग्राम पंचायत के अंतर्गत आने वाली एनटीपीसी आरसी कॉलोनी, सेरपा की जर्जर सड़कों, बंद स्ट्रीट लाइटों और मूलभूत सुविधाओं की कमी से परेशान स्थानीय लोगों और विस्थापितों का गुस्सा अब फूट पड़ा है।
स्थानीय नेताओं ठाकुर हीरापल सिंह, राजीव गांधी पंचायती राज संगठन के जिला पदाधिकारी महेंद्र कुमार और दौलतराम शर्मा ने कॉलोनी का निरीक्षण कर स्थिति का जायजा लिया। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि यदि एक माह के भीतर सड़कों की मरम्मत नहीं की गई, तो एनटीपीसी और जिला प्रशासन का घेराव किया जाएगा।
स्थानीय निवासियों का कहना है कि कॉलोनी की सड़कें अब बारिश में तालाब जैसी हो जाती हैं। कई क्षेत्रों में स्ट्रीट लाइटें नदारद हैं या वर्षों से खराब हैं।
लोगों ने सीएसआर फंड के दुरुपयोग का आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि जिन कार्यों की जरूरत नहीं है, वहां फंड खर्च किया जा रहा है, जबकि विस्थापित बुनियादी सुविधाओं से वंचित हैं।
जनता ने जिलाधीश से शीघ्र निरीक्षण और सुधार कार्य की मांग की है। चेताया गया है कि यदि स्थिति न सुधरी तो पंचायत चुनाव में ऐसे जनप्रतिनिधियों को मैदान में उतारा जाएगा जो वाकई जनता के लिए लड़ सकें।

Residents and displaced families of NTPC RC Colony, Serpa, under Harnoda Gram Panchayat, have expressed deep anger over the dilapidated condition of roads, non-functional street lights, and lack of basic amenities.
Local leaders Thakur Heerapal Singh, Mahendra Kumar (District Officer, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Organization), and Daulatram Sharma visited the colony and inspected the deteriorating infrastructure. They warned that if repair work is not initiated within a month, they will gherao NTPC and the district administration.
Residents allege that the roads have turned into ponds during rains, and either no street lights exist or they have been non-functional for years. They claim the CSR funds are being misused on unnecessary projects while the displaced are denied basic facilities.
Citizens have urged the district magistrate to visit the area and address the issue immediately. They also warned that in the upcoming panchayat elections, they will support honest and public-serving candidates who truly voice local concerns.
