प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में केंद्र सरकार प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से जूझ रहे राज्यों के साथ मजबूती से खड़ी है। हाल ही में भारी बारिश, बाढ़, भूस्खलन और बादल फटने की घटनाओं से हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, पंजाब और जम्मू-कश्मीर बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुए हैं। इसी के मद्देनज़र केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री अमित शाह के निर्देश पर गृह मंत्रालय ने अंतर-मंत्रालयी केंद्रीय दलों (IMCTs) का गठन किया है। ये दल अगले सप्ताह प्रभावित जिलों का दौरा करेंगे और मौके पर जाकर नुकसान तथा राज्य सरकारों द्वारा किए जा रहे राहत कार्यों का आकलन करेंगे।
गृह मंत्रालय ने बताया कि इन टीमों का नेतृत्व वरिष्ठ अधिकारी करेंगे और इनमें कृषि, जल शक्ति, ऊर्जा, ग्रामीण विकास, सड़क परिवहन जैसे मंत्रालयों के विशेषज्ञ भी शामिल होंगे। केंद्र सरकार पहले से ही एनडीआरएफ, सेना और वायुसेना की मदद से राहत व बचाव कार्य में जुटी है। अमित शाह द्वारा 2019 में लिए गए निर्णय के अनुसार, अब राज्य सरकारों के ज्ञापन का इंतजार किए बिना ही केंद्र त्वरित कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करता है। यह कदम आपदा प्रभावित लोगों तक शीघ्र राहत पहुँचाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण है।

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is standing shoulder to shoulder with states affected by recent natural calamities. Continuous heavy rains, cloudbursts, floods, and landslides have severely impacted Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. Acting on the directions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs has constituted Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) to assess the situation on the ground.
These teams, comprising senior officials from ministries like Agriculture, Jal Shakti, Rural Development, Energy, and Road Transport, will visit the affected districts next week. Their task is to evaluate the extent of damage and review the relief measures being carried out by state governments. The Centre has already deployed NDRF teams, Army, and Air Force helicopters to support rescue and essential services restoration.
The Government of India has also ensured timely release of disaster relief funds to states under SDRF, NDRF, and mitigation funds. This proactive approach reflects the Centre’s commitment to provide swift assistance to disaster-hit citizens.
