जिला दंडाधिकारी अनुपम कश्यप के आदेश पर शिमला में प्रशासन ने अवैध गैस सिलेंडरों की आपूर्ति रोकते हुए बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर एडीएम (लॉ एंड ऑर्डर) पंकज शर्मा की अध्यक्षता में टीम ने भट्टाकुफर में नाका लगाया और एक ट्रक (UP 80 FT 3282) को रोका। तलाशी के दौरान ट्रक से 190 सिलेंडर जब्त किए गए, जिनमें से 60 भरे हुए और 130 खाली पाए गए।
जांच में सामने आया कि यह खेप मोहाली से लाई गई थी और इसकी डिलीवरी शिमला की चार गैस एजेंसियों – हिमालयन गैस एजेंसी शोघी, इशिता गैस एजेंसी टूटू, कपरेट एजेंसी संजौली और हिमालयन गैस एजेंसी कुफरी में होनी थी। लेकिन चौंकाने वाली बात यह रही कि इन एजेंसियों के पास जिला प्रशासन का एक्सक्लूसिव सर्टिफिकेट ही नहीं था। बिलों पर भी सर्टिफिकेट नंबर का उल्लेख नहीं मिला। अब इन एजेंसियों और मोहाली गैस कंपनी पर भी जांच का शिकंजा कस गया है।
जिला दण्डाधिकारी अनुपम कश्यप ने कहा कि यह मामला लोगों की सुरक्षा से सीधे जुड़ा है। प्रशासन ऐसी अवैध गतिविधियों को किसी भी हाल में बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि जो भी लोग जनसुविधाओं से संबंधित कार्यों में प्रोटोकॉल का पालन नहीं करेंगे, उनके विरुद्ध कड़ी दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

Shimla district administration seized 190 illegal LPG cylinders in a major crackdown under the orders of District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap. Acting on a tip-off, a special team led by ADM (Law & Order) Pankaj Sharma set up a checkpoint at Bhattakufar, where a truck (UP 80 FT 3282) was intercepted. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found carrying 60 filled cylinders (19.2 kg each) and 130 empty cylinders.
The consignment was being supplied from Mohali to four gas agencies in Shimla – Himalayan Gas Agency Shoghi, Ishita Gas Agency near Tutu, Kap Rate Agency Sanjauli, and Himalayan Gas Agency Kufri. However, none of these agencies had valid exclusive certificates issued by the district administration, raising serious concerns. Even the bills lacked certificate details, making the entire operation unauthorized.
DM Anupam Kashyap stated that this is a matter directly linked to public safety, and such illegal supply chains will not be tolerated. He assured that strict action will be taken against all those involved. Food and Supply Department has already launched a detailed probe into the matter.
