प्रधानमंत्री सूर्य घर मुफ़्त बिजली योजना के अंतर्गत पधर विद्युत उपमंडल में उपभोक्ताओं के लिए सुनहरा अवसर उपलब्ध हुआ है। सहायक अभियंता नितिन चंदेल ने बताया कि इस योजना के अंतर्गत पधर क्षेत्र के लगभग 330 घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं को “पहले आओ पहले पाओ” के आधार पर छतों पर सोलर पैनल लगाने का मौका मिलेगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि भारत सरकार 1 किलोवाट क्षमता वाले सोलर पैनल पर ₹33,000, 2 किलोवाट पर ₹66,000 और 3 किलोवाट क्षमता वाले सोलर पैनल पर अधिकतम ₹85,800 तक की सब्सिडी दे रही है। 1 किलोवाट की इकाई हर महीने औसतन 100 यूनिट और 3 किलोवाट की इकाई लगभग 300 यूनिट तक मुफ्त बिजली उत्पादन कर सकती है। इससे न केवल बिजली बिलों में राहत मिलेगी बल्कि अतिरिक्त बिजली को हिमाचल प्रदेश विद्युत बोर्ड को बेचकर उपभोक्ता अतिरिक्त आय भी अर्जित कर सकेंगे।

The Government of India’s Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana has brought a golden opportunity for consumers in Padhar. Assistant Engineer Nitin Chandel informed that around 330 households under Padhar Sub-Division can avail rooftop solar panel units on a “first come, first served” basis.
He added that the government is providing subsidies of ₹33,000 for 1 KW solar panels, ₹66,000 for 2 KW, and up to ₹85,800 for 3 KW units. A 1 KW unit can generate around 100 units per month, while a 3 KW unit can produce nearly 300 units of electricity monthly. This will not only reduce household electricity bills but also allow consumers to earn extra income by selling surplus electricity to the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board.
