ऊना, 1 सितम्बर। रोटरी क्लब ऊना का पदस्थापना समारोह स्थानीय माया होटल में बड़े ही गरिमामय ढंग से संपन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर रोटरी जिला 3070 के गवर्नर रोटेरियन रोहित ओबराय ने बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शिरकत की और वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए नई कार्यकारिणी को जिम्मेदारियां सौंपी। उन्होंने कहा कि रोटरी क्लब निस्वार्थ भाव से समाज सेवा कर रहा है और समय-समय पर जरूरतमंदों की मदद में आगे रहा है।
उन्होंने बताया कि हिमाचल, पंजाब और जम्मू-कश्मीर प्राकृतिक आपदा से जूझ रहे हैं, ऐसे में रोटरी जैसे सामाजिक संगठनों की भूमिका और भी अहम हो जाती है। जिला गवर्नर ने सभी सदस्यों से आग्रह किया कि वे पीड़ित मानवता की मदद में सक्रिय योगदान दें।
समारोह में निवर्तमान सचिव ओंकार नाथ कसाना ने पिछले वर्ष की गतिविधियों का ब्यौरा प्रस्तुत किया। वहीं नए प्रधान यशपाल सिंह ठाकुर व सचिव रंजीत जसवाल ने भविष्य की योजनाओं की रूपरेखा रखी। सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों ने समारोह को और भी आकर्षक बनाया। इस अवसर पर कई गणमान्य लोगों को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर सम्मानित किया गया।
Una, September 1. The Rotary Club of Una held its installation ceremony with great enthusiasm at Maya Hotel. District Governor of Rotary District 3070, Rotarian Rohit Oberai, graced the event as the chief guest and officially installed the new team for the year 2025–26.
In his address, Oberai emphasized that Rotary International has always served humanity selflessly and has left a remarkable impact through its social initiatives. He highlighted that states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir are currently facing natural disasters, making the role of social organizations like Rotary even more vital. He urged all members to come forward and contribute towards relief efforts and community service.
Outgoing secretary Omkar Nath Kasana presented a detailed report of last year’s activities, while newly elected President Yashpal Singh Thakur and Secretary Ranjit Jaswal shared their plans for the future. The ceremony also featured cultural performances and concluded with the honoring of dignitaries and media persons with mementos.
