पर्यटन नगरी डलहौज़ी में पर्यटन गतिविधियों की कमी और घटते व्यापार को लेकर हिमाचल प्रदेश पर्यटन विकास निगम (HPTDC) के अध्यक्ष आर एस बाली से एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने धर्मशाला में मुलाकात की।
बैठक में डलहौज़ी क्षेत्र के पर्यटन विकास को गति देने के लिए चमेरा जलाशय में लंबित जल हवाई अड्डा परियोजना, डलहौज़ी के पास हवाई पट्टी निर्माण, और पठानकोट-डलहौज़ी रोपवे परियोजना पर पुनर्विचार जैसे मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने डलहौज़ी को धर्मशाला से जोड़ने के लिए पर्यटन कोर्रिडोर निर्माण का भी प्रस्ताव दिया, जिससे पर्यटकों की आवाजाही को आसान बनाया जा सके। इसके साथ ही पर्यटन क्षेत्र के लिए GST दर को 5% तक सीमित करने की मांग भी रखी गई।
बैठक में आर एस बाली ने प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बातों को गंभीरता से लेते हुए जल्द ही डलहौज़ी दौरे का आश्वासन दिया।
इस अवसर पर राजेश चोभियाल, रजत शर्मा, विशाल सिंह और विकास धीमान मौजूद रहे। सभी ने एकजुट होकर डलहौज़ी के पर्यटन को पुनर्जीवित करने की आवश्यकता जताई।

A delegation met with HPTDC Chairman R.S. Bali in Dharamshala to discuss the declining tourism scenario in the hill town of Dalhousie. The meeting focused on reviving the local tourism industry and implementing long-pending infrastructure projects.
Key points of discussion included the pending water airport project in Chamera Reservoir, construction of an airstrip near Dalhousie, and re-evaluation of the Pathankot-Dalhousie ropeway project.
The delegation also proposed the development of a Dalhousie-Dharamshala tourism corridor to improve tourist connectivity between the two popular destinations.
Another major request was to bring GST rates for tourism-related services down to 5%, making tourism more affordable for travelers and boosting the local economy.
Chairman R.S. Bali assured the delegation of a visit to Dalhousie soon and took note of all demands positively.
Present during the meeting were Rajesh Chobhiyal, Rajat Sharma, Vishal Singh, and Vikas Dhiman, who collectively emphasized the need to prioritize tourism development in the region.
