लुधियाना, 10 अगस्त (राजकुमार शर्मा) — पंजाब में विशेष स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को नई ऊंचाई पर ले जाते हुए, स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री ने लुधियाना के लॉर्ड महावीर सिविल अस्पताल में पूर्ण रूप से सुसज्जित आधुनिक थैलेसीमिया वार्ड का शुभारंभ किया। यह वार्ड, फिलैंथ्रॉपी क्लब के सहयोग से बनाया गया है, जो लुधियाना और आसपास के जिलों के सैकड़ों थैलेसीमिया मरीजों को नियमित रक्त चढ़ाने, विशेषज्ञ परामर्श और आधुनिक उपचार की सुविधा देगा।
मंत्री ने बताया कि पंजाब थैलेसीमिया उन्मूलन के लक्ष्य की ओर तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। कोल इंडिया से प्राप्त धनराशि से बोन मैरो ट्रांसप्लांट सेवाएं शुरू की गई हैं, और सीएमसी के सहयोग से मरीजों के निःशुल्क ऑपरेशन किए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह वार्ड केवल एक चिकित्सा सुविधा नहीं, बल्कि आशा और प्रगति का प्रतीक है।
इस अवसर पर विधायक कुलवंत सिंह सिद्धू, अशोक परशार पप्पी, सिविल सर्जन डॉ. रमंदीप कौर सहित कई गणमान्य लोग मौजूद रहे।
Ludhiana, August 10 (Rajkumar Sharma) — In a significant step towards advanced healthcare, Punjab’s Health and Family Welfare Minister inaugurated a fully-equipped modern Thalassemia Ward at Lord Mahavira Civil Hospital, Ludhiana. Established with the support of the Philanthropy Club, this ward will provide hundreds of patients from Ludhiana and nearby districts with regular blood transfusions, specialized consultations, and advanced treatment facilities.
The minister stated that Punjab is progressing rapidly towards the eradication of thalassemia. With funds from Coal India, bone marrow transplant services have been initiated, and in collaboration with CMC, free surgeries for thalassemia patients are being conducted. He emphasized that the ward is not just a medical facility but a symbol of hope, compassion, and progress.
The event was attended by MLAs Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Ashok Parashar Pappi, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, and other dignitaries.
