रविवार को उपायुक्त बिलासपुर राहुल कुमार ने मरोतन से बागछाल सड़क का मौके पर जाकर निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने निर्माण कार्य देख रही मैक्स इंफ्रा कंपनी के अधिकारियों के साथ सड़क पर बने ब्लॉक प्वाइंट्स का जायजा लिया। निरीक्षण में पाया गया कि बागछाल से लगभग 500 मीटर आगे और मरोतन से 2.5 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर सड़क का बड़ा हिस्सा क्षतिग्रस्त है, जिसके कारण यातायात पूरी तरह से ठप पड़ा हुआ है।
डीसी राहुल कुमार ने मौके पर ही अधिकारियों को सख्त निर्देश दिए कि सड़क को सोमवार तक हर हाल में यातायात के लिए खोल दिया जाए। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि बागछाल से आगे बने ब्लॉक प्वाइंट को साफ करने के लिए भारी मशीनरी की आवश्यकता है और इसके लिए मैक्स इंफ्रा को तुरंत हैवी मशीनरी तैनात करनी होगी।
उन्होंने बताया कि इस सड़क के बंद होने से कोटधार क्षेत्र की 14 पंचायतों के साथ-साथ हमीरपुर जिले के बड़सर उपमंडल के लोग भी प्रभावित हो रहे हैं। ग्रामीणों को मजबूरन झंडूता होकर लंबा सफर तय करना पड़ रहा है, जिससे उनकी रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी प्रभावित हो रही है।
डीसी ने कहा कि सड़क को समय पर खोलना बेहद आवश्यक है ताकि लोगों को राहत मिल सके और उनकी कठिनाइयों का समाधान हो। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर काम पूरा करने और सोमवार शाम तक सड़क को सुचारू रूप से चालू करने के निर्देश दिए।

On Sunday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bilaspur, Rahul Kumar, visited the Marotan to Bagchal road for an on-site inspection. During this visit, he reviewed the situation along with officials of Max Infra Company, which is handling the construction work, and examined the block points on the road. It was found during the inspection that a large portion of the road had been damaged about 500 meters ahead of Bagchal and nearly 2.5 kilometers from Marotan, causing complete disruption of vehicular movement.
DC Rahul Kumar issued strict instructions to the officials on-site that the road must be reopened for traffic by Monday at any cost. He made it clear that heavy machinery would be required to clear the block point ahead of Bagchal, and directed Max Infra to immediately deploy such equipment.
He further informed that the closure of this road has affected not only 14 panchayats of the Kotdhar region but also the residents of Barsar subdivision in Hamirpur district. People are being forced to take a longer route via Jhanduta, which is significantly impacting their daily lives.
The DC emphasized that reopening the road on time is extremely important to provide relief to the public and resolve their hardships. He directed the officials to complete the work on a priority basis and ensure smooth traffic movement by Monday evening.
