गगरेट, 17 जुलाई (वीरवार): युवा कल्याण बोर्ड के पूर्व निदेशक देवी लाल सांडिल ने आज पत्रकार वार्ता के दौरान कड़छम-वांगतू जलविद्युत् परियोजना पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के ऐतिहासिक फैसले का स्वागत किया और इसे हिमाचल प्रदेश के हक में बड़ी जीत करार दिया।
उन्होंने इस निर्णय के लिए मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू और प्रदेश के महाधिवक्ता अनूप रत्न का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त किया। देवी लाल सांडिल ने कहा कि यह फैसला हिमाचल के प्राकृतिक संसाधनों पर अधिकार की लड़ाई में मील का पत्थर है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्णय के अनुसार अब इस परियोजना से संबंधित कंपनी को हिमाचल सरकार को 18% रॉयल्टी देनी होगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि इससे हिमाचल को हर वर्ष 250 करोड़ रुपये की अतिरिक्त आय होगी, जो प्रदेश के विकास, अधोसंरचना निर्माण और कल्याणकारी योजनाओं में उपयोग होगी।
देवी लाल ने कहा, “मुख्यमंत्री सुक्खू का यह कथन कि हिमाचल की नदियों का पानी सोना है, आज सच साबित हो रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश अपने हक की लड़ाई पूरी मजबूती से लड़ रहा है और हमें इस निर्णय के रूप में एक ऐतिहासिक सफलता प्राप्त हुई है।”
Gagret, July 17 (Thursday): Former Director of the Youth Welfare Board, Devilal Sandil, hailed the Supreme Court’s historic decision regarding the Karcham-Wangtoo Hydropower Project, calling it a major victory for Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing a press conference, Sandil expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Advocate General Anup Ratna for their crucial role in securing Himachal’s rights over its natural resources.
As per the SC verdict, the company operating the Karcham-Wangtoo project will now have to pay 18% royalty to the state government. Sandil termed this a turning point in the battle for resource justice and financial empowerment of Himachal.
“This decision will increase the state’s annual revenue by ₹250 crore, which will directly contribute to development, infrastructure, and public welfare,” he stated.
Sandil further highlighted CM Sukhu’s vision, “The Chief Minister has always said that the water flowing in Himachal’s rivers is like gold. Today, that gold is being rightfully claimed for the people of Himachal.”
He concluded by expressing hope that CM Sukhu would continue fighting for the state’s rights on all fronts with similar determination and success.
