शिमला, 19 जुलाई। हिमाचल प्रदेश के शिक्षा मंत्री रोहित ठाकुर ने आज नावर क्षेत्र की ग्राम पंचायत कुठाड़ी के टूटूपानी में 6.69 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से निर्मित आधुनिक सेब ग्रेडिंग और पैकिंग हाउस का उद्घाटन किया। यह सुविधा 5600 टन की सीजनल क्षमता वाली है और इसका निर्माण एचपीएमसी द्वारा विश्व बैंक द्वारा वित्तपोषित बागवानी विकास योजना के तहत किया गया है।
इस परियोजना की शुरुआत पूर्व कांग्रेस सरकार के समय में हुई थी और अब इसे सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया गया है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत गुम्मा, रोहड़ू, कुमारसैन और किन्नौर में भी कोल्ड स्टोर्स का निर्माण किया गया है। मंत्री ने कहा कि नावर एक सेब उत्पादक क्षेत्र है और सेब उद्योग को वैश्विक मंच पर लाने के लिए आधुनिक तकनीकों को अपनाना जरूरी है।
इसके साथ ही रोहित ठाकुर ने 14.20 लाख रुपये की लागत से बने राजकीय उच्च विद्यालय नालाबन के भवन का उद्घाटन किया और नावर क्षेत्र में चल रहे ₹15 करोड़ के शिक्षा भवन निर्माण कार्यों की जानकारी दी। मंत्री ने वन महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत पौधारोपण भी किया और पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर बल दिया। उन्होंने आयुर्वेदिक उप-स्वास्थ्य केंद्र घासनी और कुठाड़ी विद्यालय भवन निर्माण का निरीक्षण भी किया।
Shimla, July 19: Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur today inaugurated a modern apple grading and packing house at Tutupani in Gram Panchayat Kuthadi, built at a cost of ₹6.69 crore. The facility, with a seasonal capacity of 5600 tons, has been constructed under the World Bank-funded Horticulture Development Scheme through HPMC.
Initiated during the previous Congress government, this project is part of a larger ₹1135 crore plan that includes the construction of cold stores in Gumma, Rohru, Kumarsain, and Kinnaur. Rohit Thakur emphasized the need to integrate advanced technologies into apple horticulture and ensure fair pricing for growers.
Thakur also inaugurated a new school building for GHS Nalaban, built at ₹14.2 lakh, and shared updates on the ₹15 crore worth of school infrastructure projects ongoing in the region. During the Van Mahotsav celebration, he planted a cedar sapling and stressed the importance of afforestation in combating climate change. He also inspected the under-construction Ayurvedic Sub-Health Center in Ghasni and the Kuthadi senior secondary school building.
