जोगेंद्रनगर, 20 जुलाई 2025:
चौंतड़ा में वन विभाग की सुनसान पड़ी भूमि पर अब हरियाली और स्वास्थ्य का संगम होगा। यहां एक आधुनिक औषधीय वाटिका का निर्माण किया जा रहा है, जहां बुजुर्गों के लिए मेलजोल की जगह, युवाओं के लिए व्यायाम की सुविधाएं और बच्चों के लिए मनोरंजन के साधन मौजूद रहेंगे।
वन मंडल जोगेंद्रनगर के अधीन आने वाले चौंतड़ा विश्रामगृह की भूमि पर इस प्रयास की शुरुआत रोटरी क्लब और अन्य सामाजिक संगठनों के सहयोग से की गई। रविवार को श्रमदान करते हुए औषधीय पौधों का रोपण किया गया। मौके पर वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी केशव, बीओ पवन, वन रक्षक हरदेव सिंह सहित कई गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।
इस वाटिका में एक्वा प्रेशर ट्रैक, जिम उपकरण, बच्चों के झूले आदि आधुनिक सुविधाएं होंगी। एनएसएस, स्काउट एंड गाइड, शैक्षणिक संस्थाओं के विद्यार्थी भी इस कार्य में सहयोग करेंगे। रोटरी क्लब अध्यक्ष डॉ चंद्रभूषण शर्मा व अन्य पदाधिकारियों ने बताया कि जल्द ही यह वाटिका बुजुर्गों की महफिलों और सामाजिक संवाद का केंद्र बनेगी।

A Herbal Garden is being developed on the unused forest land near Chauntra Rest House under the supervision of the Forest Division Jogindernagar. The initiative has been jointly taken by the Rotary Club and various social organizations, with active participation in a cleanliness and plantation drive on Sunday.
The proposed garden will serve as a community wellness space — offering aqua pressure tracks, gym equipment, and swings for children. It will also act as a gathering space for senior citizens and a place for youth fitness and environmental education.
Forest officers Keshav, Pawan, and Hardev Singh were present during the launch. According to Rotary President Dr. Chandrabhooshan Sharma, students from educational institutions, NSS, Scouts and Guides will further aid in the garden’s development.
With support from Zila Parishad Member Mamta Bhatia, Panchayat Pradhan Shuchika, and Ayurvedic Officer Dr. Ravindra Kondal, this Herbal Garden will soon bloom into a vibrant hub for ecological awareness and community health.
