बिलासपुर, 22 जुलाई। बिलासपुर जिला के बामटा क्षेत्र में सोमवार को एक बेहद दर्दनाक सड़क दुर्घटना ने सभी को झकझोर कर रख दिया। इस हादसे में 41 वर्षीय महिला ललिता देवी की मौके पर ही दर्दनाक मृत्यु हो गई।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, ललिता देवी एक पुरुष के साथ बाइक पर सवार होकर बिलासपुर की ओर आ रही थीं। बामटा के पास एक कार ने अचानक ब्रेक लगा दिए, जिससे बाइक चालक का संतुलन बिगड़ गया और दोनों सड़क पर गिर पड़े। तभी पीछे से आ रही एक बस ने महिला को कुचल दिया।
घटनास्थल पर मौजूद लोगों ने घायल महिला को तुरंत क्षेत्रीय अस्पताल पहुंचाया, लेकिन सिर में गंभीर चोटों के चलते डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
सूचना मिलते ही थाना सदर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और दुर्घटना की जांच शुरू कर दी। एसपी बिलासपुर संदीप धवल ने जानकारी दी कि दुर्घटना की परिस्थितियों की गहनता से जांच की जा रही है और दोषियों पर उचित कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
यह हादसा एक बार फिर क्षेत्र में यातायात अनुशासन और सड़क सुरक्षा की खस्ता हालत को उजागर करता है। लोगों से अपील है कि वे ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन करें और सतर्क रहें।
Bilaspur, July 22: A tragic road accident in the Bamta area of Bilaspur district claimed the life of a 41-year-old woman, Lalita Devi, on Monday.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman was riding pillion on a motorcycle headed towards Bilaspur. A car moving ahead of them suddenly applied brakes, causing the bike rider to lose control. Both fell on the road, and moments later, a bus coming from behind ran over the woman.
Locals immediately rushed her to the Regional Hospital in Bilaspur, but due to severe head injuries, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
On receiving information, Sadar Police reached the spot and began investigation. Bilaspur SP Sandeep Dhawal confirmed the incident and stated, “We are investigating the exact cause of the accident and will take strict action against those responsible.”
This heartbreaking accident once again highlights the lack of road safety awareness and traffic discipline in the region. The administration urges people to strictly follow traffic rules and stay alert while commuting.
