मंडी। हिमाचल प्रदेश के मंडी जिला में भारी बारिश और भूस्खलन से बिगड़े हालात को देखते हुए प्रशासन ने बड़ा निर्णय लिया है। उपायुक्त मंडी अपूर्व देवगन ने आपदा प्रबंधन अधिनियम-2005 की धारा 34 के अंतर्गत आदेश जारी करते हुए राष्ट्रीय उच्च मार्ग-21 पर स्थित टकोली टोल प्लाजा पर टोल शुल्क वसूली को एक माह के लिए अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित कर दिया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि लगातार हो रही भारी वर्षा के चलते मंडी जिला में कई स्थानों पर राष्ट्रीय उच्च मार्ग-21 को भारी नुकसान पहुँचा है। जगह-जगह भूस्खलन, सड़कों के धँसने और बह जाने से यातायात बाधित हुआ है। यात्रियों को मजबूरन लंबा रास्ता तय करना पड़ रहा है, जिससे वे घंटों तक फंसे रहते हैं। ऐसी परिस्थितियों में उन्हें भोजन, पानी और आश्रय जैसी मूलभूत सुविधाओं की भी कमी झेलनी पड़ रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे हालात में यात्रियों से टोल वसूली करना अनुचित है। इसलिए जनहित में यह निर्णय लिया गया है कि टकोली टोल प्लाजा पर टोल शुल्क 14 सितम्बर, 2025 तक अस्थायी रूप से बंद रहेगा। यह निर्णय यात्रियों की सुविधा और राहत के लिए लिया गया है।
Mandi, Himachal Pradesh – In view of the damages caused by continuous heavy rainfall and landslides, the district administration of Mandi has taken a significant decision. Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan has ordered the suspension of toll collection at the Takoli Toll Plaza on National Highway-21 for one month under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act-2005.
He explained that due to incessant rains, several stretches of NH-21 have been severely damaged. Landslides, road collapses, and washed-away portions have disrupted vehicular movement, forcing travelers to take longer routes and remain stranded for hours. In such conditions, passengers are also facing a shortage of basic amenities like food, drinking water, rest, and shelter.
Considering the hardships faced by the public, it has been decided to suspend toll collection at the Takoli Toll Plaza till 14th September 2025. This decision is aimed at providing relief and convenience to travelers in this difficult time.
