कुल्लू। स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर वनों की हरियाली और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के संकल्प के साथ जाइका वानिकी परियोजना ने पौधारोपण अभियान चलाया। इस अभियान के तहत कुल्लू वन मंडल के पीज क्षेत्र में लगभग पाँच हेक्टेयर भूमि पर देवदार के पौधे लगाए गए।
इस सफल आयोजन की अगुवाई प्रोग्राम मैनेजर डॉ. कौशल्या कपूर ने की। उनके नेतृत्व में ग्राम वन विकास समिति पीज, स्वयं सहायता समूह जगजननी और वैष्णों पीज के सदस्यों ने बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया। वहीं, राजीव गांधी वन संवर्द्धन योजना से जुड़ी महिलाओं ने भी उत्साहपूर्वक पौधे लगाए और हरियाली की दिशा में कदम बढ़ाया।
इस अवसर पर एफटीयू को-ऑर्डिनेटर कुल्लू प्रेमला ठाकुर और एफटीयू को-ऑर्डिनेटर भुट्टी शशि भूषण भी मौजूद रहे। महिला मंडलों और स्वयं सहायता समूहों की महिलाओं ने अपने क्षेत्र को हरा-भरा बनाए रखने और वन संरक्षण की शपथ भी ली।
यह आयोजन न केवल हरियाली बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक पहल है बल्कि ग्रामीण महिलाओं और युवाओं को पर्यावरण संरक्षण से जोड़ने का सराहनीय प्रयास भी है।
Kullu – On the occasion of Independence Day, the JICA Forestry Project organized a plantation drive dedicated to increasing green cover and conserving the environment. Under this initiative, deodar saplings were planted across five hectares of land in the Pij area under Kullu Forest Division.
The plantation program was successfully led by Program Manager Dr. Kaushalya Kapoor. Members of the Gram Van Vikas Samiti Pij, Self-Help Group Jagjanani and Vaishno Pij actively participated in the drive. Women associated with the Rajiv Gandhi Van Sanvardhan Yojana also joined the campaign, planting saplings as a step towards greener surroundings.
The event was also marked by the presence of FTU Coordinator Kullu Premla Thakur and FTU Coordinator Bhutti Shashi Bhushan. Women from Mahila Mandals and Self-Help Groups took an oath to maintain greenery and preserve forests in their region.
This plantation drive not only contributes to ecological balance but also motivates local communities, especially women, to take active roles in environmental conservation.
