स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण, सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता तथा सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री कर्नल डॉ. धनीराम शांडिल ने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के आधुनिकीकरण और ग्रामीण आर्थिकी को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। वे ठोडो मैदान, सोलन में आयोजित स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह में बोल रहे थे।
उन्होंने बताया कि सोलन जिला एनीमिया के मामलों में 75% कमी लाकर प्रदेश का पहला जिला बना है। यह उपलब्धि लोगों और सरकार के सामूहिक प्रयास का परिणाम है। डॉ. शांडिल ने बताया कि प्रदेश में शिमला के अटल सुपर स्पेशियलिटी संस्थान में रोबोटिक सर्जरी शुरू की गई है और 20 आदर्श स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों में डायलिसिस सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाई जा रही है।
ग्रामीण आर्थिकी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए दूध, मक्का, गेहूं और हल्दी के समर्थन मूल्य में वृद्धि की गई है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों, सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों को हर संभव सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
इस अवसर पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन हुआ और उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाली विभूतियों को सम्मानित किया गया।

Himachal Pradesh Health & Family Welfare, Social Justice, and Sainik Welfare Minister, Colonel Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, said that the state government is continuously working on modernizing healthcare services and strengthening the rural economy. He was addressing the Independence Day celebrations at Thodo Ground, Solan.
He highlighted that Solan district has achieved a remarkable 75% reduction in anemia cases, becoming the first district in the state to do so. Dr. Shandil also announced the introduction of robotic surgery at Atal Super Specialty Institute, Shimla, and dialysis facilities in 20 model health institutions.
For rural economic growth, the government has increased the support price of milk, maize, wheat, and turmeric. He added that the state is committed to supporting freedom fighters, soldiers, ex-servicemen, and their families.
The event also featured cultural programs based on patriotism and social awareness, and distinguished personalities were felicitated for their contributions.
