लोक निर्माण एवं शहरी विकास मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने सोमवार को सुन्नी अस्पताल का औचक निरीक्षण किया और यहां प्रस्तावित क्रिटिकल केयर यूनिट (CCU) की स्थापना को लेकर दिशा-निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि यह यूनिट पीएम आयुष्मान भारत हेल्थ इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर मिशन की सहायता से स्थापित की जाएगी।
करीब 18.83 करोड़ रुपए की अनुमानित लागत से बनने वाली यह यूनिट दो मंजिला भवन में होगी। इसमें ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर 05 इमरजेंसी बेड, मैटरनल एंड चाइल्ड हेल्थ के 02 बेड, 02 आइसोलेट रूम, पहली मंजिल पर 02 डायलिसिस बेड और 24 आइसोलेटेड बेड, जबकि दूसरी मंजिल पर 06 हाई डिपेंडेंसी यूनिट और 10 आईसीयू बेड होंगे।
मंत्री ने निर्देश दिए कि भवन को केवल आवश्यक हिस्सों तक ही तोड़ा जाए और जल्द से जल्द ड्राइंग में बदलाव कर औपचारिकताएं पूरी की जाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस यूनिट के शुरू होने से न केवल सुन्नी क्षेत्र बल्कि मंडी जिले के लोगों को भी उन्नत स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं उपलब्ध होंगी।
इस अवसर पर विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने राजा वीरभद्र सिंह फाउंडेशन की ओर से अस्पताल की रोगी कल्याण समिति को एक लाख रुपए का चेक भी प्रदान किया। कार्यक्रम में सीएमओ डॉ. यशपाल रांटा, बीएमओ डॉ. मुकेश जायसवाल और अन्य गणमान्य उपस्थित रहे।

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh conducted a surprise inspection of Sunni Hospital on Monday and reviewed the proposed site for the Critical Care Unit (CCU). He informed that the unit will be established with the support of the PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
The project, estimated at ₹18.83 crore, will be housed in a two-storey building. The ground floor will have 05 emergency beds, 02 maternal & child health beds, and 02 isolation rooms. The first floor will consist of 02 dialysis beds and 24 isolated beds, while the second floor will accommodate 06 high-dependency unit beds and 10 ICU beds.
Singh instructed officials to demolish only the necessary portions of the existing building and to expedite the revised drawings and formalities. He emphasized that the CCU will benefit not only Sunni but also nearby areas of Mandi district by providing advanced healthcare facilities.
On this occasion, he also handed over a cheque of ₹1 lakh from the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation to the hospital’s Rogi Kalyan Samiti. The event was attended by CMO Dr. Yashpal Ranta, BMO Dr. Mukesh Jaiswal, and other dignitaries.
