केलांग, 30 जून 2025 –
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त लाहौल-स्पीति किरण भड़ाना ने सोमवार को केलांग स्थित ईवीएम (इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वोटिंग मशीन) एवं वीवीपैट (वोटर वेरिफाएबल पेपर ऑडिट ट्रेल) मशीनों के भंडारण कक्ष का त्रैमासिक निरीक्षण किया। यह निरीक्षण निर्वाचन प्रक्रिया में पारदर्शिता और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया।
निरीक्षण के दौरान उपायुक्त ने मशीनों की सुरक्षा, सीसीटीवी निगरानी, अग्निशमन उपकरण, सीलिंग प्रक्रिया, लॉगबुक संधारण और अनधिकृत पहुंच नियंत्रण जैसी व्यवस्थाओं की गहन समीक्षा की। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि सभी मानक संचालन प्रक्रियाओं (SOPs) का पूर्णतः पालन किया जाए।
तहसीलदार निर्वाचन पवन कुमार ने बताया कि मशीनों की सीलिंग और भंडारण निर्वाचन आयोग के दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप की गई है। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि परिसर में किसी भी प्रकार की अनधिकृत पहुंच निषिद्ध है।
इस अवसर पर राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधि भी उपस्थित रहे। उन्होंने व्यवस्थाओं पर संतोष जताते हुए प्रशासन द्वारा की गई पारदर्शिता की सराहना की।

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Lahaul-Spiti, Kiran Bhadana, conducted a quarterly inspection of the EVM and VVPAT storage room to ensure transparency and security in the electoral process.
The inspection included checks on storage conditions, CCTV surveillance, fire safety equipment, sealing protocol, and access restrictions. The DC instructed officials to strictly adhere to the Election Commission’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Tehsildar (Election) Pawan Kumar provided technical details and confirmed that all procedures for sealing and storage were duly followed. Representatives from political parties were also present and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
This exercise underscores the administration’s commitment to fair and transparent elections.
