प्रदेश के कृषि एवं पशुपालन मंत्री प्रो. चंद्र कुमार ने आज ज्वाली विधानसभा क्षेत्र की वनतुंगली पंचायत में ₹1.14 करोड़ की लागत से बनने वाले एक अत्याधुनिक सामुदायिक केंद्र का शिलान्यास किया। इस बहुउद्देशीय भवन में पंचायत घर, कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर और एक आधुनिक कम्युनिटी हॉल की सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी।
कृषि मंत्री ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू की यह सोच है कि हर पंचायत में ऐसा केंद्र हो जिससे आमजन को सरकारी सुविधाएं उनके गांव में ही उपलब्ध हो सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि इस हॉल में गरीब परिवारों को सामाजिक आयोजनों के लिए मुफ़्त या रियायती दरों पर सुविधा दी जाएगी।
प्रो. चंद्र कुमार ने यह भी कहा कि ज्वाली व नगरोटा सुरियाँ क्षेत्र में कांग्रेस सरकार के कार्यकाल में ही मुख्य विकास हुए हैं। नगरोटा और कोटला को नगर पंचायत व ज्वाली को नगर परिषद का दर्जा दिया गया है। साथ ही, ₹37.54 करोड़ की मल निकासी योजना तथा सड़कों के चौड़ीकरण पर भी करोड़ों की राशि स्वीकृत की जा चुकी है।

Himachal Pradesh’s Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister, Prof. Chandra Kumar, laid the foundation stone for a ₹1.14 crore community center in Vantungli Panchayat of Nagrota Surian constituency today. This modern facility will house a Panchayat office, Common Service Center, and a fully-equipped community hall.
The minister highlighted the vision of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, which emphasizes ensuring every Panchayat has its own dedicated infrastructure to provide government services locally. He also stated that the new hall will be accessible for underprivileged families to conduct social functions like weddings affordably.
He further noted that major developmental milestones in Nagrota Surian and Jawali areas were achieved under Congress leadership. Nagrota and Kotla were granted Nagar Panchayat status, while Jawali was upgraded to Nagar Parishad. Additionally, a ₹37.54 crore sewage project has been approved, with road widening and upgrading projects also underway in the region.
