हमीरपुर जिले के भोरंज क्षेत्र में प्रस्तावित रोजगार मेले को रद्द किए जाने पर प्रदेश की राजनीति गरमा गई है। पूर्व विधायक राजेंद्र राणा ने इस पर तीखी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए इसे सरकार की “खोटी नीयत” का प्रतीक बताया है।
राजेंद्र राणा ने कहा कि यह मेला कांग्रेस के एक स्थानीय कार्यकर्ता द्वारा प्राइवेट कंपनियों के माध्यम से युवाओं को रोजगार दिलाने के उद्देश्य से आयोजित किया जा रहा था। लेकिन अंतिम समय पर प्रशासन ने बिना किसी ठोस कारण के अनुमति रद्द कर दी।
उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि यह फैसला सरकार के इशारे पर लिया गया है, जो युवाओं के भविष्य के साथ सीधा खिलवाड़ है। राणा ने मुख्यमंत्री के उस बयान की भी याद दिलाई जिसमें कहा गया था कि “सरकार रोजगार देने की बात करती है, सरकारी नौकरी देने की नहीं।”
राजेंद्र राणा ने सवाल उठाया कि जब सरकार खुद युवाओं को नौकरी नहीं दे पा रही है तो कम से कम उन्हें निजी क्षेत्र में अवसर पाने से क्यों रोका जा रहा है?
उन्होंने कहा कि यह “कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता बनाम कांग्रेस सरकार” की स्थिति बन रही है और लोकतंत्र को ठेस पहुंचाई जा रही है। राणा ने ऐलान किया कि वह युवाओं के अधिकारों के लिए हर स्तर पर लड़ाई लड़ेंगे।

Former MLA Rajendra Rana has sharply criticized the last-minute cancellation of the proposed job fair in Bhoranj, Hamirpur, calling it a betrayal of the youth and an indication of the government’s “bad intent.”
In his statement, Rana alleged that the decision was taken under government pressure, purely out of political bias. The fair, organized by a local Congress worker, aimed to offer private sector job opportunities to the unemployed youth in the region.
Rana questioned why the administration revoked permission at the last moment despite prior planning and approval. He cited a past remark by the Chief Minister where he had said, “We promised employment, not government jobs.”
“This statement alone proves that the government has no intention of genuinely addressing unemployment. Worse, they are now obstructing others from doing so,” said Rana.
He warned that the situation is fast turning into “Congress worker vs Congress government”, reflecting internal political discord.
Rana reiterated his commitment to standing with the youth and fighting for their rights, even if it comes at a personal cost.
