मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने प्रदेश में लगातार हो रही मूसलाधार बारिश के मद्देनजर सभी उपायुक्तों से दूरभाष के माध्यम से बात कर जिला-स्तरीय स्थिति की जानकारी ली। उन्होंने प्रशासन को किसी भी आपात स्थिति से निपटने के लिए पूरी तरह सतर्क और तैयार रहने के निर्देश दिए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस मौसम में नदियों और नालों के पास जाने से बचें, क्योंकि जलस्तर में अचानक वृद्धि से जान का खतरा हो सकता है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को आवश्यक सेवाओं की सुचारू आपूर्ति बनाए रखने और सड़क, बिजली, पानी जैसी बुनियादी सुविधाओं को बाधित न होने देने के निर्देश भी दिए।
सुक्खू ने चंबा जिले के राजनगर की सुताह ग्राम पंचायत में भू-स्खलन से एक नवविवाहित जोड़े की मृत्यु पर गहरा शोक जताया। उन्होंने दिवंगत आत्माओं की शांति और परिजनों को संबल प्रदान करने की प्रार्थना की।
मुख्यमंत्री ने विभागों के बीच बेहतर समन्वय की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया ताकि आपदा के समय तत्काल राहत कार्य शुरू किए जा सकें।

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday held telephonic conversations with all Deputy Commissioners of the state to review the situation caused by heavy and continuous rainfall across Himachal Pradesh. He directed the officials to remain vigilant and make all necessary preparations to deal with any potential emergencies.
The Chief Minister urged people to avoid going near rivers and streams during this period due to the risk of sudden water level rise. He stressed that public safety is the government’s top priority and advised citizens to strictly follow the guidelines issued by district administrations.
He also expressed deep grief over the death of a newlywed couple in a house collapse triggered by a landslide in Sutaah Gram Panchayat of Rajnagar, Chamba. He offered condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the peace of the departed souls.
Sukhu emphasized coordination among departments to ensure a quick response in case of landslides, road blockages, or flood emergencies.
