जिला मंडी में पिछले कुछ दिनों से हो रही लगातार मूसलाधार बारिश के मद्देनज़र उपायुक्त अपूर्व देवगन ने आम जनता, पर्यटकों और श्रमिकों से नदी-नालों के किनारे न जाने का आग्रह किया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि मौसम विभाग द्वारा भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश की चेतावनी जारी की गई है, जिससे नदियों का जलस्तर कभी भी बढ़ सकता है। विशेष रूप से ब्यास नदी में जल संग्रहण क्षेत्रों में अधिक वर्षा के कारण बांधों से अतिरिक्त पानी छोड़ा जा सकता है, जिससे तटीय क्षेत्रों में खतरा बढ़ जाता है।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि भूस्खलन की आशंका को भी नज़रअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता। अतः अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचें और प्रशासन द्वारा समय-समय पर जारी दिशा-निर्देशों का पालन करें।
आपातकाल में जनता आपदा प्रबंधन केंद्र के फोन नंबर 01905-226201 से 226204 तक या टोल फ्री नंबर 1077 पर संपर्क कर सकती है। प्रशासन की प्राथमिकता लोगों की सुरक्षा है।

In light of continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days, Deputy Commissioner Apurva Devgan has appealed to the public, tourists, and laborers to avoid going near rivers and streams in Mandi district.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rain across Himachal Pradesh, including Mandi. This may lead to rising water levels in rivers, especially in the Beas River catchment areas, and excess water release from dams, increasing flood risk.
The DC further stated that landslide incidents are also likely during such weather. People should travel only when absolutely necessary and strictly follow all instructions issued by the district administration.
In case of emergencies, residents can contact the District Disaster Management Authority via telephone numbers 01905-226201 to 226204 or the toll-free emergency helpline 1077. The DC assured that public safety remains the top priority of the administration and state government.
