जिला कांगड़ा में नशे के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे विशेष अभियान के तहत पुलिस थाना गगल की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान तीन नशा तस्करों को दबोच लिया।
एसपी कांगड़ा अशोक रत्न ने बताया कि गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में विशाल कुमार उर्फ विशू (24) निवासी कनेड, नितीन चौधरी (24) निवासी पासू और अजय चौधरी (28) निवासी पासू शामिल हैं। इनके कब्जे से 2.90 ग्राम हेरोइन/चिट्टा, तीन सिरींज और दस-दस रुपये के दो नोट बरामद किए गए। तीनों के खिलाफ एनडीपीएस एक्ट की धारा 21 और 29 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
जांच में सामने आया कि विशाल कुमार और अजय चौधरी पहले भी नशा तस्करी और अन्य अपराधों में पकड़े जा चुके हैं। एसपी ने कहा कि नशे के खिलाफ पुलिस का अभियान लगातार जारी रहेगा और किसी भी सूरत में ढिलाई नहीं बरती जाएगी। साथ ही, उन्होंने लोगों से अपील की कि नशे के कारोबार या सेवन की सूचना तुरंत पुलिस को दें, ताकि इस सामाजिक बुराई का उन्मूलन किया जा सके।
In a major crackdown against drug trafficking in Kangra district, Gaggal Police arrested three drug peddlers during routine patrolling.
SP Kangra, Ashok Rattan, informed that the arrested accused have been identified as Vishal Kumar alias Vishu (24) from Kaned, Nitin Chaudhary (24) from Pasu, and Ajay Chaudhary (28) from Pasu. Police recovered 2.90 grams of heroin/chitta, three syringes, and two ₹10 notes from their possession. Cases under sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act have been registered.
Investigations revealed that Vishal Kumar and Ajay Chaudhary have been previously involved in drug trafficking and other criminal cases. The SP stated that the anti-drug campaign will continue relentlessly, urging the public to report any information about drug trade or consumption to help eradicate this menace.
