हरोली, 11 अगस्त। रक्षाबंधन के पावन अवसर पर हरोली विधानसभा क्षेत्र की ग्राम पंचायत सिंगा की चेला दर्शन सिंह गोगी मंडली ने गुगा जाहर पीर की गाथाओं का नंगे पांव गुणगान शुरू किया। यह परंपरा हजारों वर्षों से चली आ रही है और इस वर्ष भी 9 दिनों तक गांव-गांव घूमकर गुगा जाहर पीर की महिमा का बखान किया जाएगा।
मंडली के प्रमुख गुरदेव सिंह उर्फ ज्ञानी बाबा ने बताया कि गुगा जाहर पीर का जन्म राजस्थान के ददरेवा, चूरू में नवमी तिथि को हुआ था और उन्हें सांपों के देवता के रूप में पूजा जाता है। रक्षाबंधन से शुरू होकर यह यात्रा 17 अगस्त को गुगा नवमी के दिन समाप्त होगी, जब पूरे भारत में गुगा जी के नाम से प्रसाद वितरित किया जाएगा।
मंडली के सदस्य डमरू, ढोलकी जैसे वाद्य यंत्रों के साथ घर-घर जाकर भजन गाते हैं। ग्रामीणजन उन्हें दान, अन्न, चाय और बधाइयाँ देकर सम्मानित करते हैं। इस आयोजन में रवि सिंह राणा, सोम नाथ, सुरजीत कुमार, काका, जिंद, जगदेव सिंह, जीवन कुमार, सुभाष चंद, लवली, गुलशन, संदीप कुमार, संजू और धर्म दास सहित अनेक लोग शामिल रहे।
Haroli, August 11 On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Chela Darshan Singh Gogi troupe from Gram Panchayat Singa, Haroli constituency, began their barefoot journey to sing the tales of Guga Jahar Peer. This centuries-old tradition continues this year with a 9-day tour across villages, narrating the glory of Guga Jahar Peer.
According to troupe leader Gurdev Singh, also known as Gyani Baba, Guga Jahar Peer was born in Dadrewa, Churu, Rajasthan, on Navami and is worshipped as the serpent deity. The journey, starting from Raksha Bandhan, will conclude on August 17, Guga Navami, when offerings (Prasad) will be distributed across India in his honor.
The troupe, equipped with traditional instruments like Damru and Dholki, visits homes to perform devotional songs. Villagers welcome them with donations, grains, tea, and blessings. Members include Ravi Singh Rana, Som Nath, Surjeet Kumar, Kaka, Jind, Jagdev Singh, Jeevan Kumar, Subhash Chand, Lovely, Gulshan, Sandeep Kumar, Sanju, and Dharma Das among others.
