79वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर सोलन के ठोडो मैदान में जिला स्तरीय समारोह का आयोजन हुआ। इस अवसर पर स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण, सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता तथा सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री कर्नल डॉ. धनीराम शांडिल ने विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उल्लेखनीय योगदान देने वाली विभूतियों को सम्मानित किया।
सम्मानित होने वालों में छोटे साहिबज़ादे वेल्फेयर सोसायटी रेडू के अध्यक्ष नरेंद्र सिंह शामिल रहे, जिन्हें रक्तदान शिविर आयोजन और गरीब परिवारों की मदद के लिए सराहा गया। इसी तरह एक्ट ह्यूमेन फाउंडेशन की अध्यक्ष हर्लिन कौर को दिव्यांगजन पुनर्वास और शिक्षा क्षेत्र में योगदान हेतु सम्मानित किया गया।
इसके अलावा आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता आशा कुमारी, छात्रा रमनीक अटल, ग्राम राजस्व अधिकारी प्रतीक शर्मा, कबड्डी कोच संजीव कुमार, और पुलिस विभाग के कई अधिकारी-कर्मचारी भी उत्कृष्ट कार्य के लिए सम्मानित हुए।
कार्यक्रम में विधायक, वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, समाजसेवी और स्थानीय नागरिक बड़ी संख्या में मौजूद रहे। डॉ. शांडिल ने कहा कि ऐसे प्रयास समाज को प्रेरित करते हैं और युवाओं को राष्ट्र निर्माण में योगदान के लिए प्रोत्साहित करते हैं।

On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, a district-level celebration was organized at Thodo Ground, Solan. Health, Social Justice & Empowerment and Sainik Welfare Minister Col. Dr. Dhaniram Shandil honoured distinguished personalities for their outstanding contributions.
Among the awardees were Narendra Singh, President of Chhote Sahibzade Welfare Society, for organizing blood donation camps and supporting underprivileged families, and Harleen Kaur, President of Act Humane Foundation, for her commendable work in empowering differently-abled individuals and improving education facilities.
Others honoured included Anganwadi worker Asha Kumari, topper student Ramnik Atal, Revenue Officer Prateek Sharma, Kabaddi coach Sanjeev Kumar, along with several police officers for their dedicated services.
The event was attended by MLAs, senior officials, social workers, and a large gathering of citizens. Dr. Shandil emphasized that such recognitions inspire society and motivate the youth to contribute positively towards nation-building.
