झंडूता उपमंडल में लगातार हो रही भारी बारिश ने जनजीवन अस्त-व्यस्त कर दिया है। सोमवार को मरोतन क्षेत्र में भूस्खलन की वजह से बागछाल रोड और पनोल–सुन्हानी सड़क पूरी तरह बंद हो गई। सड़कों पर मलबा गिरने से यातायात पूरी तरह ठप हो गया है। इस कारण स्थानीय लोगों और यात्रियों को भारी असुविधा का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में लगातार मिट्टी धंसने और पत्थर गिरने की घटनाओं के चलते सड़क मार्ग बाधित हो रहे हैं। स्थिति इतनी गंभीर है कि आसपास के कई गांवों का संपर्क कट गया है। प्रशासन ने यात्रियों को सावधानी बरतने और अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचने की सलाह दी है।
फिलहाल, मलबा हटाने के कार्य की तैयारी की जा रही है, लेकिन लगातार वर्षा बाधा बन रही है। प्रशासन ने अलर्ट जारी कर जनता से संयम और सतर्कता बरतने की अपील की है।
Heavy rainfall in Jhanduta Subdivision has caused severe disruption as a landslide occurred near Marotan. The incident led to the complete closure of the Bagchal Road and the Panol–Sunhani road, leaving commuters and villagers stranded.
Local residents reported that frequent landslides and soil erosion in the hilly region have completely halted road transport. Several nearby villages are now cut off due to blocked connectivity.
The district administration has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and remain cautious as the situation remains tense. Efforts are being made to clear the debris, but continuous rainfall is hampering the restoration work. Authorities have issued an alert, urging the public to remain patient and vigilant.
