बिलासपुर, 11 सितम्बर।
हिमाचल प्रदेश की धरती पर पहली बार नौसेना एनसीसी इकाई का आयोजन होने जा रहा है। बिलासपुर में कमांडिंग ऑफिसर कमांडर सज्जन कुमार के नेतृत्व में आयोजित होने वाला यह आयोजन राज्य के युवाओं के लिए नया अध्याय जोड़ेगा।
15 सितम्बर से बिलासपुर से शुरू होने वाला बहुप्रतीक्षित सेलिंग एक्सपीडिशन ‘शौतुद्री वंदन’ ऐतिहासिक महत्व का होगा। अगले दिन 16 सितम्बर को डीसी बिलासपुर कैडेट्स को फ्लैग ऑफ करेंगे और कैडेट्स नौकायन अभियान की शुरुआत करेंगे। यह अभियान सुंदरनगर, मंडी, हमीरपुर, चम्बा, डलहौजी, भाखड़ा, नंगल और आसपास के क्षेत्रों से गुजरते हुए बिलासपुर में 25 सितम्बर को संपन्न होगा।
इस 12 दिवसीय अभियान में पंजाब, हरियाणा, हिमाचल और चंडीगढ़ के 70 एनसीसी कैडेट और 15 प्रशिक्षक भाग ले रहे हैं। अभियान के दौरान कैडेट्स नदी घाटों की सफाई, बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ, नशा मुक्ति, पर्यावरण संरक्षण और डिजिटल इंडिया जैसे सामाजिक संदेशों पर रैलियां करेंगे। इसके अलावा वे कोल डैम और भाखड़ा डैम पावर हाउस का दौरा भी करेंगे।
कमांडर सज्जन कुमार ने बताया कि यह अभियान युवाओं में अनुशासन, नेतृत्व क्षमता और टीम भावना विकसित करेगा। कैडेट्स नौका संचालन, नेविगेशन, मैप रीडिंग और कम्पास की सहायता से दिशा निर्धारण जैसी कौशलों में निपुण हो जाएंगे। अभियान दल पूरी तरह आत्मनिर्भर होगा जिसमें चिकित्सा कर्मी, बचाव दल और सुरक्षा नावें भी शामिल होंगी।
यह आयोजन न सिर्फ एनसीसी कैडेट्स को सशक्त करेगा बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए भी प्रेरणा का स्रोत बनेगा।

For the first time in Himachal Pradesh, a Naval NCC unit will be hosting a grand event in Bilaspur under the leadership of Commanding Officer Commander Sajjan Kumar. The much-awaited sailing expedition ‘Shautudri Vandan’ will be flagged off on September 16 by the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, following its official launch on September 15.
This 12-day expedition will pass through Sundernagar, Mandi, Hamirpur, Chamba, Dalhousie, Bhakra, Nangal and surrounding regions, before concluding in Bilaspur on September 25. A total of 70 NCC cadets and 15 instructors from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh will participate.
During the expedition, cadets will conduct cleanliness drives at river ghats, spread awareness through rallies on Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Drug-Free India, Environmental Conservation, and Digital India, and visit Kol Dam and Bhakra Dam power houses.
Commander Sajjan Kumar emphasized that the expedition will instill discipline, leadership, teamwork, and resilience in cadets while training them in boat handling, map reading, and navigation using magnetic compasses. The fully self-reliant expedition team will also include medical staff, rescue squads, and safety boats.
This initiative will not only strengthen cadets’ skills but also inspire future generations.
