धर्मशाला, 08 जुलाई 2025:
पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम” अभियान का दूसरा चरण जिला कांगड़ा में आरंभ किया गया है। इसकी जानकारी अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त विनय कुमार ने आज धर्मशाला में आयोजित बैठक के दौरान दी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस चरण में पौधारोपण का कार्य मुख्य रूप से विद्यालयों के माध्यम से किया जाएगा, जिसमें स्कूली बच्चों की सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित की जाएगी।
एडीसी ने बताया कि जिले के सभी स्कूलों में ईको क्लब के माध्यम से यह अभियान संचालित किया जाएगा। वन विभाग पौधों की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करेगा जबकि बच्चे सजावटी पौधे भी लगाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण आज की सबसे बड़ी जरूरत है और हमें आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए हरियाली सुनिश्चित करनी है।
अभियान का उद्देश्य न केवल पौधे लगाना है बल्कि बच्चों में प्रकृति के प्रति लगाव और जिम्मेदारी का भाव भी जागृत करना है। इस अवसर पर वन विभाग, शिक्षा विभाग और विभिन्न स्वयंसेवी संगठनों के प्रतिनिधि भी बैठक में उपस्थित रहे।

The second phase of the environmental campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” has been launched in Kangra district under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Vinay Kumar. In a meeting held today, he informed that this phase will involve active participation of school children through plantation drives in educational institutions.
The campaign will be carried out via Eco Clubs formed in schools. The Forest Department will supply the required plants, including decorative species. ADC Vinay Kumar emphasized the importance of involving youth in environmental awareness and action. He appealed to the general public to participate in the movement and take responsibility for protecting nature.
The goal of the campaign is not only plantation but also instilling a sense of responsibility and affection towards nature among the young generation. Officials from the Forest Department, Education Department, and various NGOs were present at the meeting and assured their full cooperation.
