उपायुक्त शिमला अनुपम कश्यप की अध्यक्षता में जिला बाल कल्याण एवं संरक्षण समिति और मुख्यमंत्री सुख आश्रय योजना की समीक्षा बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में बाल संरक्षण, शिक्षा, पुनर्वास, स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा से संबंधित योजनाओं की प्रगति की समीक्षा की गई। उपायुक्त ने निर्देश दिए कि सभी बाल देखभाल संस्थानों में रह रहे बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य कार्ड बनाए जाएं और उनकी नियमित निगरानी सुनिश्चित की जाए।
अब तक 10 बच्चों को गोद दिया जा चुका है। बाल आश्रम के बच्चों के लिए दिल्ली, गोवा, आगरा, चंडीगढ़ का शैक्षणिक भ्रमण कराया गया। रोहड़ू के बाल आश्रम में 25 लाख की मरम्मत और हीरानगर में ऑब्जर्वेशन होम के नए भवन निर्माण की तैयारी है। मिशन वात्सल्य के तहत जिले में 10 बाल गृहों में 399 बच्चे रह रहे हैं।
बाल संरक्षण संस्थानों में पेयजल, पौष्टिक आहार और नियमित काउंसलिंग के साथ-साथ ब्यूटी पार्लर, कंप्यूटर, आर्ट एंड क्राफ्ट, बेकरी आदि का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। 212 बच्चों को कौशल विकास में प्रशिक्षित किया जा चुका है। मुख्यमंत्री सुख आश्रय योजना के तहत अभी तक 1.63 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता दी जा चुकी है।

A review meeting of the District Child Welfare and Protection Committee and the Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana was held under the chairmanship of Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap. The meeting focused on evaluating child welfare activities, ensuring the well-being, education, rehabilitation, and health of children.
The DC directed that all children in child care institutions be issued health cards to ensure timely medical assistance. So far, 10 children have been adopted, and educational exposure tours were conducted for children from Bal Ashrams to Delhi, Goa, Agra, and Chandigarh. Renovation of Rohru Bal Ashram is underway at ₹25 lakh, while a new building for the Hiranagar Observation Home is set to begin.
Under Mission Vatsalya, 10 Child Homes house 399 children. These children receive nutrition, clean drinking water, and training in vocational skills such as computer, bakery, soft toys, and beauty care. So far, 212 children have received such training.
Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana has benefitted 336 external and 292 institutional children with ₹1.63 crore in financial aid. Counseling sessions and wellness programs like Yoga Day were also conducted. Under the After Care Scheme, 32 children have been supported in pursuing vocational and academic education.
