हरोली विधानसभा क्षेत्र की कृषि को मजबूती देने की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक पहल के तहत बीत क्षेत्र सिंचाई योजना-2 के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने ₹20.25 करोड़ की पहली किश्त जारी कर दी है। यह योजना उपमुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री की ‘हर खेत को पानी’ पहुंचाने की प्रतिबद्धता और लंबे समय से चल रहे प्रयासों का प्रतिफल है।
यह महत्वाकांक्षी योजना 75 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से पूरी होगी, जिसमें 90% केंद्र और 10% राज्य सरकार की भागीदारी होगी। योजना के अंतर्गत बीत, पालकवाह, कर्मपुर और आसपास के 22 से अधिक गांवों की लगभग 50,000 कनाल कृषि भूमि को सिंचाई सुविधा से जोड़ा जाएगा, जिससे क्षेत्र की कृषि उत्पादकता में अभूतपूर्व सुधार आने की उम्मीद है।
उपमुख्यमंत्री अग्निहोत्री ने इस उपलब्धि के लिए केंद्र सरकार और जलशक्ति मंत्रालय का आभार व्यक्त किया और राज्य सरकार के अधिकारियों की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि बीत क्षेत्र कभी जल संकट से जूझता था, लेकिन अब यहां नगदी फसलों का उत्पादन बढ़ा है और किसान कृषि कार्यों में दोबारा सक्रिय हुए हैं।
इससे पूर्व, बीत क्षेत्र उठाऊ सिंचाई योजना के प्रथम चरण में ₹42 करोड़ की लागत से 9 गांवों की 29 हजार कनाल भूमि को सिंचाई सुविधा दी गई थी। अब दूसरे चरण के साथ अधिक गांवों और किसानों को इससे लाभ मिलेगा।
325 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से हरोली क्षेत्र में जल आपूर्ति और सिंचाई से जुड़ी परियोजनाएं संचालित हो रही हैं। इनमें से 66 करोड़ की योजनाएं पूर्ण, पोलियां में 50 लाख लीटर और दुलैहड़ में 25 लाख लीटर जल संग्रहण क्षमता वाले टैंक बनकर तैयार हैं। बल्क ड्रग पार्क के लिए पेयजल आपूर्ति की भी उचित व्यवस्था की गई है।
इसके अतिरिक्त, पुराने तालाबों और टोबों की रिचार्जिंग पर ₹12 करोड़, पेयजल योजनाओं पर ₹105 करोड़ और सिंचाई परियोजनाओं पर ₹130 करोड़ का कार्य प्रगति पर है। नालों के तटीकरण पर भी ₹13 करोड़ खर्च किए जा रहे हैं।
उपमुख्यमंत्री ने दोहराया कि “हमारा लक्ष्य है हर खेत को पानी और हर किसान को राहत। हम योजनाबद्ध ढंग से इस दिशा में निरंतर कार्य कर रहे हैं।”

In a major boost to agricultural infrastructure in Haroli constituency, the Centre has released the first installment of ₹20.25 crore for the Beas Area Irrigation Scheme Phase-2. This is a direct outcome of the persistent efforts and vision of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who aims to ensure “water to every field.”
The scheme, with a total outlay of ₹75 crore, is funded in a 90:10 ratio by the central and state governments respectively. It will provide improved irrigation to over 50,000 kanals of agricultural land across 22+ villages, including Beas, Palkwah, and Karampur, significantly boosting productivity in the region.
Agnihotri thanked the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti and appreciated the support of state officials for realizing this project. He recalled how the Beas area once struggled with acute water shortages, but through government interventions, it has now emerged as a hub of cash crop cultivation.
In Phase-1, implemented earlier, ₹42 crore was invested to provide irrigation to 29,000 kanals in 9 villages. With Phase-2 now underway, many more farmers will benefit from reliable water supply.
Currently, projects worth ₹325 crore are underway in Haroli for water supply and irrigation development. Of these, ₹66 crore projects are complete, including water storage tanks of 50 lakh liters in Polian and 25 lakh liters in Dulehar. Adequate water supply has also been arranged for the upcoming bulk drug park.
Additional efforts include ₹12 crore for pond rejuvenation, ₹105 crore for drinking water projects, and ₹130 crore for irrigation. River embankment protection works worth ₹13 crore are also in progress.
Agnihotri emphasized that “our mission is to ensure water for every field and relief to every farmer,” and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to long-term and sustainable development of the agriculture sector.
