मंडी जिला के थुनाग, करसोग, गोहर और धर्मपुर उपमंडलों में आई प्राकृतिक आपदा के बाद राहत और पुनर्वास कार्य पूरे जोर-शोर से जारी हैं। यह जानकारी स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री कर्नल (डॉ.) धनी राम शांडिल ने सुंदरनगर में आयोजित प्रेस वार्ता में दी। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने आपदा के 24 घंटे के भीतर ही स्वयं स्याठी गांव व अन्य प्रभावित क्षेत्रों का दौरा किया और हवाई सर्वेक्षण के माध्यम से राहत कार्यों की निगरानी की।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने बताया कि जिला प्रशासन व आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण लगातार युद्धस्तर पर कार्य कर रहे हैं। अब तक 3,657 राशन किट, 6,659 तिरपाल, 1,175 कंबल, 401 गद्दे, 90 हाइजीन किट, रेडी टू ईट खाद्य सामग्री, पेयजल बोतलें, दवाइयां और आवश्यक वस्तुएं वितरित की जा चुकी हैं।
उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री ने संवेदनशील निर्णय लेते हुए बेघर हुए परिवारों को छह माह तक ₹5000 प्रतिमाह मकान किराए के रूप में देने का प्रावधान किया है।
अब तक ₹51.78 लाख की तत्काल राहत राशि जारी की जा चुकी है, जिसमें अकेले थुनाग क्षेत्र के लिए लगभग ₹39 लाख वितरित किए गए हैं। राज्य सरकार की यह तत्परता आपदा में जनता के प्रति उसकी गंभीरता को दर्शाती है।

In the aftermath of devastating flash floods and landslides in Mandi district’s Thunag, Karsog, Gohar, and Dharampur subdivisions, the state government has launched full-scale relief and rehabilitation operations.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Col. (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil informed during a press conference in Sundernagar that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu personally visited the affected Syathi village within 24 hours of the disaster and also conducted an aerial survey of the Seraj region.
The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has been working tirelessly, restoring roads and essential services while delivering urgent aid. So far, over 3,657 ration kits, 6,659 tarpaulins, 1,175 blankets, 401 mattresses, 90 hygiene kits, ready-to-eat food, clean drinking water, and medicines have been distributed.
Minister Shandil also stated that under the CM’s directive, homeless families will be provided ₹5,000/month as rental aid for six months. Immediate relief of ₹51.78 lakh has already been disbursed, including ₹39 lakh in the Thunag area alone.
This demonstrates the government’s rapid response and commitment to helping disaster-affected communities.
