जहां एक ओर प्राकृतिक आपदाएं लोगों की ज़िंदगियों को प्रभावित कर रही हैं, वहीं देश के पूर्व सैनिक अपनी सेवा भावना और मानवता से समाज के लिए संकटमोचक बनकर सामने आ रहे हैं। इसी भावना के तहत सुंदरनगर के पूर्व मार्कोस कमांडो ललित भारद्वाज और बल्ह के नेवल वेटरन पवन कुमार ने हिमाचल के थुनाग और जंजैहली क्षेत्रों में बादल फटने से प्रभावित लोगों के लिए राहत अभियान शुरू किया।
इस अभियान को हिमाचल के अन्य नेवल वेटरन्स का भी समर्थन मिला। प्रारंभिक अनुमान था कि करीब एक लाख रुपये की सहायता मिलेगी, लेकिन साथियों की सेवा भावना और जनभागीदारी ने इसे बढ़ाकर ₹2.70 लाख तक पहुंचा दिया। इस राशि से जरूरतमंद परिवारों के लिए राशन, कपड़े, और अन्य सामग्री जुटाकर सीधे आपदा क्षेत्रों में वितरित की गई।
इस अभियान ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया कि देश की रक्षा करने वाले सैनिक सिर्फ सीमा पर ही नहीं, बल्कि हर संकट में जनता के साथ खड़े रहते हैं। राहत टीम में पूर्व नौसैनिक विनय, यश ठाकुर, सुनील, तथा समर्पित साथी अमित कुमार, हरीश कुमार, पिंकू, कनारू राम, सोनू आदि ने भी बढ़-चढ़कर योगदान दिया।

While natural disasters are shaking lives, former Indian defense personnel are setting examples of selfless service and humanity. In a remarkable humanitarian effort, ex-MARCOS commando Lalit Bhardwaj from Sundernagar and Naval Veteran Pawan Kumar from Balh initiated a relief mission for people affected by cloudbursts in Thunag and Janjehli regions of Himachal Pradesh.
Their noble mission was soon joined by other naval veterans from the state. Initially expecting to raise ₹1 lakh, the campaign surpassed expectations and collected ₹2.70 lakh, thanks to the dedication and faith of the team. The funds were used to assemble and deliver essential supplies—food, clothing, and other relief material—to the disaster-affected areas.
This relief mission was more than just aid—it was a message of solidarity. The soldiers who once protected the borders are also the first responders during national crises. Veterans Vinay, Yash Thakur, Sunil, and volunteers Amit Kumar, Harish Kumar, Pinku, Kanaru Ram, and Sonu played key roles in the successful distribution of aid.
