हमीरपुर, 17 जुलाई। हिमाचल प्रदेश के हमीरपुर जिले के लिए यह गर्व का क्षण है, जब वार्ड नंबर 5 के निवासी आदर्श वर्मा ने भारतीय सेना में मेजर जनरल का पदभार संभाला है। उन्होंने महाराष्ट्र के पुणे स्थित अग्निवाज़ डिवीजन की कमान मेजर जनरल अमर पाल सिंह चहल (सेना मेडल) से ग्रहण की है।
मेजर जनरल वर्मा, श्री अंगत राम वर्मा के पुत्र हैं और उन्हें पहले ही विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल से सम्मानित किया जा चुका है। उन्होंने कमान ग्रहण करते हुए अपने सैनिकों को दो प्रेरणादायक संदेश दिए:

Hamirpur, July 17: A proud moment for Himachal Pradesh as Adarsh Verma, a resident of Ward No. 5 in Hamirpur, has been promoted to the rank of Major General in the Indian Army. He has assumed command of the Agnivaz Division in Pune, Maharashtra, from Major General Amar Pal Singh Chehal (SM).
Major General Verma, son of Shri Angat Ram Verma, is already a recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal for his exemplary service in the forces. Upon taking command, he addressed his troops with two key messages:
