प्राकृतिक आपदा की चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितियों में भी महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग की सराज परियोजना के अंतर्गत कार्यरत आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं ने अद्वितीय साहस, सेवा और कर्तव्यनिष्ठा का परिचय दिया। इन्होंने 4,782 लाभार्थियों तक घर-घर जाकर पोषणयुक्त राशन पहुँचाया।
इस विशेष वितरण अभियान के तहत बालीचौकी उपमंडल के 97 केंद्रों से 2,644 लाभार्थियों और थुनाग के 124 केंद्रों से 2,138 लाभार्थियों को राहत पहुंचाई गई। इसके अलावा संक्रमण की रोकथाम के लिए 32 आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं ने क्लोरीन टेबलेट का भी वितरण किया।
जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी अजय बदरेल ने बताया कि कार्यकर्ताओं को आपदा की गंभीरता देखते हुए विशेष निर्देश दिए गए थे। इसके बावजूद, 10 आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं के अपने मकान क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए, जिनमें ममता देवी (लाम्बशाफड़), सीता देवी (थुनाग), द्रोपदी (रोड), डोलमा देवी (कुथाह), हिमा देवी (जरोल), तेजी देवी (फंदार), लीला देवी (बन्याड़), ढमेश्वरी देवी (लोटशेगलू), चनाली देवी (पखरैर), और नर्वदा देवी (सुनाह) शामिल हैं।
इन सभी ने विपरीत परिस्थितियों में भी कर्तव्य से पीछे न हटकर राशन वितरण में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई, जो समाज के लिए एक प्रेरणास्रोत है। अजय बदरेल ने कहा कि विभाग इन कर्मियों की सराहना करता है और हरसंभव सहायता देगा।

Despite the harsh challenges posed by natural disasters, Anganwadi workers under the Seraaj Project of the Women and Child Development Department showcased immense dedication and courage by delivering nutritious ration to 4,782 beneficiaries door-to-door.
Out of 221 Anganwadi centers in the project, 97 centers in Balichowki covered 2,644 people, while 124 centers in Thunag reached 2,138 people. Moreover, 32 Anganwadi workers distributed chlorine tablets to help prevent disease outbreaks.
According to District Programme Officer Ajay Badrel, special instructions were issued to all workers during the crisis. He highlighted that even 10 Anganwadi workers’ homes were damaged, including Mamta Devi (Lambshafad), Sita Devi (Thunag), Dropadi (Road), Dolma Devi (Kuthah), Hima Devi (Jarol), Teji Devi (Fandar), Leela Devi (Banyad), Dhameshwari Devi (Lotshagalu), Chanali Devi (Pakhrair), and Narvada Devi (Sunah).
Despite personal losses, these workers remained committed to duty and ensured that no beneficiary was left behind. Their selfless service is an inspiration for society. The department has appreciated their heroic efforts and stands with them in this time of crisis.
