मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने शुक्रवार को शिमला स्थित ऐतिहासिक जाखू मंदिर में पूजा-अर्चना कर प्रदेशवासियों के सुख-समृद्धि की कामना की। इस मौके पर उन्होंने मंदिर परिसर में 108 फीट ऊंची हनुमान ध्वजा की स्थापना समारोह में भाग लिया।
सीएम ने कहा कि जाखू मंदिर प्रदेशवासियों की गहरी आस्था का केंद्र है और यहां भगवान हनुमान की विश्व की सबसे ऊंची प्रतिमा स्थापित है। सरकार मंदिर को आध्यात्मिक और पर्यटन केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करने हेतु प्रयासरत है। परिसर में भगवान श्री राम की प्रतिमा लगाने की योजना भी प्रस्तावित है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने छोटा शिमला में लोक निर्माण विभाग के विश्राम गृह का भी उद्घाटन किया, जो 4.15 करोड़ की लागत से तैयार हुआ है। सीएम ने बताया कि सरकार सभी विश्राम गृहों को ऑनलाइन बुकिंग सिस्टम से जोड़ने जा रही है।
वहीं, उन्होंने प्रदेश में आई प्राकृतिक आपदा से हुए नुकसान की जानकारी साझा की और कहा कि पुनर्वास और राहत कार्यों को प्राथमिकता दी जा रही है। सीएम ने पर्यटकों को आश्वस्त करते हुए कहा कि हिमाचल सुरक्षित है और पूरी तरह खुला हुआ है।
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday participated in the ceremony of hoisting a 108-feet Hanuman flag at the historic Jakhu Temple in Shimla. He also performed a special prayer ritual, praying for the peace and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing the media, the CM emphasized that Jakhu Temple holds immense spiritual significance and is home to the tallest Hanuman statue in the world. The government aims to develop this temple as a prominent spiritual and tourism destination. Plans are also underway to install a statue of Lord Shri Ram at the site.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the PWD Rest House in Chhota Shimla, constructed at a cost of ₹4.15 crore with modern facilities. He announced that online booking facilities will soon be available for all state rest houses.
Highlighting the recent disaster relief efforts, he assured people that rehabilitation of affected families is the government’s top priority. He encouraged tourists to visit Himachal Pradesh, stating that the state is safe and open for tourism.
