राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय दाड़गी में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) के स्वयंसेवकों ने एक दिवसीय शिविर के दौरान स्वच्छता अभियान चलाकर समाज को स्वच्छता का प्रेरणादायक संदेश दिया। शिविर के अंतर्गत विद्यालय परिसर और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में सफाई की गई, प्लास्टिक कचरे को इकट्ठा कर चिन्हित स्थानों पर निपटान किया गया।
स्वयंसेवकों ने स्कूल की पुष्प वाटिका में आंवला, बहेड़ा, हरड़, तुलसी आदि औषधीय पौधों की गुड़ाई और निराई भी की। इस दौरान ‘स्वच्छता और पर्यावरण’ विषय पर चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई, जिसमें कक्षा 12 की कृतिका ने प्रथम, भूमिका ने द्वितीय और रितिका ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।
कार्यक्रम अधिकारी धर्म प्रकाश वर्मा ने विद्यार्थियों को स्वच्छता के महत्व से अवगत कराते हुए कहा कि “स्वच्छता में ईश्वर का वास होता है। यदि हम अपने आस-पास सफाई रखें तो अनेक बीमारियों से बचा जा सकता है।”
इस अवसर पर विद्यालय के समस्त शिक्षक, गैर-शिक्षक कर्मचारी, हेड बॉय देवेंद्र कुमार और हेड गर्ल स्नेहा ने भी पूर्ण सहभागिता निभाई। यह शिविर न केवल एक सफाई अभियान रहा, बल्कि समाज के प्रति छात्रों की सकारात्मक सोच का परिचायक भी बना।

Volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) from Government Senior Secondary School, Dadgi, carried out a one-day cleanliness drive, setting an example of civic responsibility and environmental consciousness.
The students cleaned the school campus and surrounding rural areas, collecting plastic waste and disposing it responsibly. They also tended to the school’s herbal garden, taking care of plants like Amla, Bahera, Harad, and Tulsi.
A painting competition was organized on the theme “Cleanliness and Environment.” Kritika from class 12 secured the first position, followed by Bhoomika and Ritika in second and third respectively.
Program Officer Dharma Prakash Verma addressed the volunteers and emphasized the importance of cleanliness in everyday life. “Cleanliness is next to godliness. Keeping our surroundings clean helps prevent diseases and ensures a healthy life,” he said.
Head Boy Devendra Kumar, Head Girl Sneha, teaching, and non-teaching staff participated actively. The event reflected the commitment of students toward a clean and green society.
