राजगढ़, 20 जुलाई। राजगढ़ शहर में पार्किंग समस्या विकराल रूप धारण कर चुकी है, लेकिन सात वर्षों से प्रस्तावित पार्किंग निर्माण आज तक अधूरा पड़ा है। वर्ष 2018 में तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री जयराम ठाकुर ने पार्किंग निर्माण की घोषणा की थी और प्रथम चरण में 50 लाख रुपये की राशि स्वीकृत की गई थी। सांसद सुरेश कश्यप ने 27 फरवरी 2019 को आनन-फानन में आधारशिला रखी थी, लेकिन उसके बाद कार्य ठप हो गया।
नगर पंचायत ने 2022 में विधानसभा चुनाव से पूर्व पहाड़ी कटिंग का काम शुरू किया, लेकिन चुनाव बीतते ही काम रोक दिया गया। छह लाख का टेंडर देकर प्लॉट तैयार किया गया, जो अब भी अधूरा है। राजगढ़ में करीब 13,500 से अधिक वाहन पंजीकृत हैं, लेकिन पार्किंग की कोई स्थायी सुविधा नहीं है।
स्थानीय लोगों को वाहन शहर से दो किलोमीटर दूर खड़ा करना पड़ता है, वहीं ऑटो जैसी सुविधा का भी अभाव है। नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष अजय गर्ग ने जानकारी दी कि निर्माण कार्य लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधीन है। विभागीय अभियंता हेमेन्द्र शर्मा के अनुसार करीब 12 करोड़ रुपये की डीपीआर तैयार की गई है जिसमें बहुमंजिला पार्किंग का प्रस्ताव है, जहां 300 हल्के वाहनों की क्षमता होगी।
जनता इस समस्या के समाधान की मांग कर रही है ताकि वर्षों पुरानी परेशानी खत्म हो सके।
Rajgarh, July 20: The long-pending issue of parking in Rajgarh continues to trouble residents and visitors alike. Despite a promise made in 2018 by former CM Jai Ram Thakur and a foundation stone laid by MP Suresh Kashyap in February 2019, the construction work for the parking facility has been stalled for the past seven years.
During the 2022 Assembly elections, the Nagar Panchayat initiated hill-cutting work to prepare the site, but it was abruptly halted post-elections. A contract worth ₹6 lakh was issued for the groundwork, which remains incomplete to date. With over 13,500 registered vehicles—of which about 6,000 are light motor vehicles—parking has become a major challenge.
Commuters are forced to park two kilometers away due to lack of space. There’s no local transport like autos to aid movement within town. Nagar Panchayat Chairman Ajay Garg stated that the project is with the Public Works Department. Assistant Engineer Hemendra Sharma confirmed that a ₹12 crore DPR has been prepared to build a multi-level parking facility to accommodate 300 vehicles and include commercial shops.
Locals demand immediate action for this long-pending project.
