मोबाइल पशु एम्बुलेंस बनी ग्रामीण पशुपालकों की संजीवनी
शिमला, 19 जुलाई। हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा ग्रामीण पशुपालकों को सशक्त बनाने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गई 1962 मोबाइल पशु चिकित्सा एम्बुलेंस सेवा ग्रामीण इलाकों में संजीवनी साबित हो रही है। 5 मार्च 2024 से शुरू इस सेवा के अंतर्गत जिला शिमला में 5 एम्बुलेंस तैनात हैं, जिनके माध्यम से अब तक 1876 पशुओं का उपचार किया जा चुका है।
यह सेवा सुबह 9 से शाम 5 बजे तक उपलब्ध रहती है और लोग टोल फ्री नंबर 1962 पर कॉल कर एम्बुलेंस मंगवा सकते हैं। प्रत्येक एम्बुलेंस में पशु चिकित्सक, फार्मासिस्ट और हेल्पर शामिल होते हैं, जो गांव में पहुंचकर निशुल्क इलाज करते हैं।
रामपुर, सुन्नी, रोहड़ू, ठियोग और शिमला शहरी क्षेत्रों में एम्बुलेंस अब तक 69954 किलोमीटर चल चुकी है। कई जटिल मामलों में ऑपरेशन भी मौके पर किए गए हैं जैसे फ्रैक्चर, सर्जरी, ट्यूमर रिमूवल व सी-सेक्शन।
पशु चिकित्सा सेवा अब बेसहारा पशुओं के इलाज में भी मददगार साबित हो रही है। इस योजना से पशुपालकों को समय, पैसा और मेहनत की बचत के साथ पशुओं को समय पर इलाज मिल रहा है। उपायुक्त अनुपम कश्यप और उप निदेशक डॉ. नीरज मोहन ने लोगों से इस सेवा का अधिक से अधिक लाभ उठाने की अपील की है।
Mobile Veterinary Ambulance: A Lifeline for Rural Farmers
Shimla, July 19. The Himachal Pradesh government’s initiative—Mobile Veterinary Ambulance Service (dial 1962)—launched on March 5, 2024, is proving to be a game-changer for rural livestock owners. In Shimla district alone, five mobile ambulances have treated over 1,876 animals, covering more than 69,954 kilometers.
Operating from 9 AM to 5 PM daily, these ambulances respond to toll-free calls made on 1962. Each unit comprises a veterinary doctor, pharmacist, and driver-helper team, offering free treatment at the farmers’ doorsteps.
The ambulances cater to areas like Sunni, Rampur, Rohru, Theog, and urban Shimla. Notably, complex surgeries like leg fracture repairs, tumor removal, and cesarean deliveries have been successfully conducted on-site.
This service is also proving crucial for treating stray animals in emergencies. According to Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and Deputy Director Dr. Neeraj Mohan, the initiative is saving both time and money for farmers while ensuring timely treatment for animals. Livestock owners are encouraged to use this valuable service for healthier and more sustainable livestock care.
