राज्यपाल ने मार्कंडेय मंदिर में की पूजा-अर्चना
श्रावण मास में प्रदेशवासियों की सुख-समृद्धि की कामना
बिलासपुर, 4अगस्त। हिमाचल प्रदेश के राज्यपाल शिव प्रताप शुक्ल एवं लेडी गवर्नर जानकी शुक्ला ने श्रावण मास के पावन अवसर पर बुधवार को जिला बिलासपुर स्थित ऐतिहासिक मार्कंडेय मंदिर में विधिवत पूजा-अर्चना की।
राज्यपाल ने इस अवसर पर प्रदेशवासियों की सुख-समृद्धि, शांति और कल्याण की प्रार्थना की। उन्होंने कहा कि पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार ऋषि मार्कंडेय भगवान शिव एवं भगवान विष्णु के परम भक्त माने जाते हैं, और यह मंदिर हिमाचल प्रदेश के प्रमुख धार्मिक स्थलों में शामिल है।
मीडिया से अनौपचारिक बातचीत में राज्यपाल ने मंडी जिले के आपदा प्रभावित क्षेत्रों के हालिया दौरे की जानकारी दी और वहां के निवासियों की सहनशीलता एवं साहस की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी लोगों का मनोबल मजबूत बना हुआ है, और यह सराहनीय है।
राज्यपाल ने आशा जताई कि ऋषि मार्कंडेय का आशीर्वाद प्रदेश के लोगों पर बना रहेगा। इस दौरान उपायुक्त राहुल कुमार, राज्यपाल के सचिव सी.पी. वर्मा, पुलिस अधीक्षक संदीप धवल सहित प्रशासनिक अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।

Bilaspur, August 4. Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh Shiv Pratap Shukla, accompanied by Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, offered prayers at the historic Markandeya Temple in Bilaspur on the auspicious occasion of the Hindu holy month of Shravan.
The Governor prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh. He remarked that Rishi Markandeya is revered as a devout follower of Lord Shiva and Vishnu, and the temple is among the prominent spiritual landmarks of the state.
During an informal interaction with the media, the Governor shared insights about his recent visit to disaster-affected regions in Mandi district, expressing concern over the loss of life and property. He commended the resilience and courage shown by the locals during this tough time.
He expressed hope that the blessings of Rishi Markandeya will continue to protect the people of Himachal. The visit was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, SP Sandeep Dhawal, and other administrative officials.
