जिला मंडी में लगातार हो रही भारी बारिश से उत्पन्न आपदा की स्थिति से निपटने के लिए प्रशासन सक्रिय रूप से राहत और बहाली कार्यों में जुटा हुआ है। उपायुक्त मंडी अपूर्व देवगन ने बताया कि 5 अगस्त को सुबह 10 बजे तक जिले में 331 सड़कें, 657 ट्रांसफार्मर, और 86 पेयजल योजनाएं प्रभावित हुई हैं।
प्रशासन ने लोक निर्माण विभाग, जलशक्ति विभाग और विद्युत बोर्ड की टीमें फील्ड में तैनात की हैं, जो युद्धस्तर पर बहाली कार्य कर रही हैं। सराज, करसोग और धर्मपुर सबसे अधिक प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में शामिल हैं। केवल सराज मंडल में 122 सड़कें, करसोग में 55 और थलौट में 56 सड़कें बंद हैं। इन सड़कों को खोलने के लिए 106 जेसीबी मशीनें तैनात की गई हैं।
गोहर, करसोग और जोगिंद्रनगर में अधिकांश विद्युत ट्रांसफार्मर ठप हैं, जिनकी संख्या 547, 50 और 20 है। विद्युत बोर्ड की टीमें बिजली आपूर्ति बहाल करने में जुटी हैं। जलशक्ति विभाग वैकल्पिक माध्यम से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में पानी की आपूर्ति कर रहा है।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सभी विभाग आपसी समन्वय से कार्य कर रहे हैं और हर संभव सहायता सुनिश्चित की जा रही है। प्रशासन की प्राथमिकता है कि राहत कार्यों को तेजी से और प्रभावी ढंग से पूरा किया जाए।

In response to the recent heavy rainfall and related damage in Mandi district, the local administration is working tirelessly on relief and restoration efforts. Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan informed that as of 10 AM on August 5, a total of 331 roads, 657 transformers, and 86 drinking water schemes have been affected.
Restoration is ongoing on a war footing with teams from the Public Works, Jal Shakti, and Electricity Board actively deployed. The most affected areas are Seraj, Karsog, and Dharampur, where numerous roads and water supplies have been severely damaged.
In Seraj alone, 122 roads are blocked, while Karsog and Thalaut report 55 and 56 blocked roads respectively. Over 106 JCB machines have been mobilized to clear routes.
Power supply remains disrupted with 547 transformers down in Gohar, 50 in Karsog, and 20 in Jogindernagar. Electricity Board teams are on the ground to restore supply.
86 drinking water schemes are non-functional, particularly in Thunag, Padhar, Karsog, and Dharampur. The Jal Shakti Department is providing temporary solutions to ensure water supply.
The DC assured that the administration is committed to supporting every affected family, and restoration efforts are being conducted with urgency and coordination.
