चंबा, 15 अगस्त। ऐतिहासिक चौगान में 79वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस अत्यंत हर्षोल्लास और देशभक्ति के उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया। उद्योग, संसदीय कार्य, श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्री हर्षवर्धन चौहान ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराकर मार्च पास्ट की सलामी ली। इस अवसर पर जिला पुलिस, वन विभाग, गृहरक्षक, एनसीसी, एनएसएस और भारत स्काउट्स एंड गाइड्स की टुकड़ियों ने शानदार परेड प्रस्तुत की।
अपने संबोधन में मंत्री चौहान ने देश की स्वतंत्रता के लिए बलिदान देने वाले वीर सेनानियों और स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानियों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू के नेतृत्व में हिमाचल प्रदेश सर्वांगीण विकास की ओर बढ़ रहा है। आपदा प्रभावितों के लिए सरकार ने विशेष राहत पैकेज का प्रावधान कर राहत राशि 25 गुना तक बढ़ाई है।
मंत्री ने बताया कि चंबा जिले में 553 करोड़ रुपये से विकास कार्य हो रहे हैं, जिनमें नई सड़कों का निर्माण, सिंचाई और पेयजल योजनाएं तथा स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों का विस्तार शामिल है। उन्होंने आगामी श्री मणिमहेश यात्रा के लिए शुभकामनाएं भी दीं। समारोह में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम हुए और उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले पत्रकारों व अधिकारियों को सम्मानित किया गया।
Chamba, August 15. The historic Chaugan ground in Chamba witnessed the grand celebration of the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. Harshvardhan Chauhan, Minister of Industries, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour & Employment, unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the ceremonial march past. District police, forest guards, NCC, NSS, and Scouts & Guides contingents participated with pride.
In his address, the minister paid homage to the great freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. He highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh is emerging as a model hill state through progressive schemes and welfare policies. He also mentioned the government’s special relief package for disaster-hit families, enhancing compensation up to 25 times.
The minister shared that development works worth ₹553 crore are underway in Chamba, including new roads, irrigation and drinking water projects, and expansion of medical institutions. He extended greetings for the upcoming Shri Manimahesh Yatra. The event also featured cultural performances and felicitations for journalists and officials for their remarkable contributions.
