भारी बारिश से प्रभावित सुन्नी क्षेत्र में कनेक्टिविटी बहाल करने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार ने ठोस कदम उठाने का निर्णय लिया है। लोक निर्माण एवं शहरी विकास मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने थली पुल का निरीक्षण किया और घोषणा की कि घराट नाला से घांघर तक डबल लेन पुल का निर्माण कार्य किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि लोक निर्माण विभाग इसके लिए साइट चयन और विस्तृत एस्टीमेट तैयार करेगा।
मंत्री ने स्पष्ट किया कि डैम के कारण हर साल पानी का स्तर बढ़ने से थली पुल बार-बार क्षतिग्रस्त हो रहा है। ऐसे में नया पुल स्थायी समाधान होगा। इसके निर्माण में एसजेवीएनएल और एनटीपीसी का सहयोग भी लिया जाएगा।
इस अवसर पर एसडीएम सुन्नी राजेश वर्मा, मुख्य अभियंता सुरेश कपूर, एसडीओ गोपाल देव, नगर परिषद अध्यक्ष प्रदीप शर्मा और कई स्थानीय लोग मौजूद रहे।
विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने क्षतिग्रस्त थली पुल के स्ट्रक्चर ऑडिट के आदेश भी दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि कमेटी की रिपोर्ट आने तक पुल से आवाजाही की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी।
इसके अलावा मंत्री ने सतलुज नदी के पानी से प्रभावित आईटीआई परिसर और तत्तापानी स्थित सेल्फी प्वाइंट के पास क्षतिग्रस्त सड़क का भी निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने भविष्य में डैम प्रभावित क्षेत्रों की समस्याओं के स्थायी समाधान के लिए व्यापक योजना बनाने की बात कही।

The Himachal Pradesh Government has taken a major decision to restore connectivity in the flood-affected Sunni region. PWD & Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh inspected the damaged Thali Bridge and announced the construction of a double-lane bridge from Gharat Nala to Ghanghar. The Public Works Department has been directed to identify the site and prepare a detailed estimate.
The Minister highlighted that due to rising water levels from the dam, Thali Bridge gets damaged repeatedly. The new bridge will provide a permanent solution with support from SJVNL and NTPC.
On this occasion, SDM Sunni Rajesh Verma, Chief Engineer Suresh Kapoor, SDO Gopal Dev, Municipal Council Chairman Pradeep Sharma, and several local representatives were present.
Vikramaditya Singh also ordered a structural audit of the existing bridge, clarifying that public movement will only be allowed if the audit report deems it safe.
Additionally, the Minister inspected the flood-affected ITI campus and the damaged road near Tattapani Selfie Point, directing PWD to restore connectivity for small vehicles. He assured a comprehensive plan to address long-term challenges in dam-affected areas.
