मंडी, 21 अगस्त 2025 – मंडी–पठानकोट राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर लवांडी के पास आज सुबह भारी बारिश के चलते सड़क धंस जाने से यातायात ठप हो गया। इस अचानक आई समस्या से वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं और यात्रियों को कठिनाई का सामना करना पड़ा।
सूचना मिलते ही एडीएम मंडी डॉ. मदन कुमार मौके पर पहुंचे और तुरंत बहाली कार्य शुरू करवाया। उनके साथ एसडीएम सदर रूपिन्द्र कौर, एनएचएआई और गाबर कंपनी के अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे।
डॉ. मदन कुमार ने बताया कि एनएचएआई की टीमें युद्धस्तर पर कार्य कर रही हैं। सड़क का बड़ा हिस्सा धंसने के कारण बहाली चुनौतीपूर्ण है, लेकिन लगातार प्रयासों से शाम 7 बजे तक मार्ग खोलने की संभावना है।
प्रशासन ने यात्रियों से अपील की है कि वे धैर्य बनाए रखें और अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचें। बहाली के बाद यातायात सामान्य रूप से संचालित होगा।
Mandi, August 21, 2025 – Traffic on the Mandi–Pathankot National Highway came to a halt this morning near Lawandi after heavy rainfall caused a major road collapse. The incident led to long queues of vehicles, leaving commuters stranded.
Upon receiving information, ADM Mandi Dr. Madan Kumar rushed to the site and initiated restoration work. SDM Sadar Rupindra Kaur, officials from NHAI, and the Gabar Company were also present during the inspection.
Dr. Kumar stated that NHAI teams are working on a war footing. Although the damage is extensive, efforts are being made to restore traffic flow, and the highway is expected to reopen by 7 PM.
Authorities have urged travelers to remain patient and avoid unnecessary travel until the route is fully restored. Normal traffic movement will resume once the road is cleared.
