धर्मशाला, 22 अगस्त। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त कांगड़ा हेमराज बैरवा की अध्यक्षता में धर्मशाला स्थित जिला निर्वाचन कार्यालय में राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक का विषय जिले के मतदान केंद्रों के युक्तिकरण से संबंधित था।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जिले की 15 विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों से कुल 208 प्रस्तावनाएँ प्राप्त हुईं, जिनमें नए मतदान केंद्र बनाने, मौजूदा केंद्रों का युक्तिकरण करने और मतदान केंद्र भवन बदलने से संबंधित सुझाव शामिल थे। इन सभी प्रस्तावों पर राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों से चर्चा की गई और सहमति भी प्राप्त हुई।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह सभी प्रस्ताव मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी के माध्यम से भारत निर्वाचन आयोग को स्वीकृति हेतु भेजे जाएंगे। अनुमोदन मिलने के बाद मतदान केंद्रों की सूची अंतिम रूप में प्रकाशित की जाएगी।
उपायुक्त ने राजनीतिक दलों से आग्रह किया कि वे वर्तमान 1642 मतदान केंद्रों और प्रस्तावित 94 नए मतदान केंद्रों के लिए बूथ लेवल एजेंट (BLA-2 प्रारूप) की नियुक्ति सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे मतदाता सूचियों को अपडेट करने, त्रुटिरहित बनाने और निर्वाचन प्रक्रिया को और अधिक पारदर्शी व प्रभावी बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।
Dharamshala, August 22. A meeting of representatives of political parties was held at the Kangra District Election Office under the chairmanship of District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa. The agenda focused on the rationalization of polling stations in the district.
The DC informed that a total of 208 proposals were received from 15 assembly constituencies of Kangra. These included requests for creation of new polling stations, rationalization of existing ones, and changes in polling station buildings. All proposals were discussed with party representatives, who expressed their agreement.
He said that the proposals will be forwarded to the Election Commission of India through the Chief Electoral Officer for approval. Once approved, the final list of polling stations will be published.
The DC also urged political parties to ensure the appointment of Booth Level Agents (in BLA-2 format) for 1,642 existing polling stations and 94 newly proposed ones. He stressed that active participation of parties will strengthen democracy and make the electoral process more transparent and effective.
