कांगड़ा, 22 अगस्त। जहाँ देश डिजिटल इंडिया की ओर बढ़ रहा है और दूरसंचार कंपनियाँ 5G तकनीक का ज़ोर-शोर से प्रचार कर रही हैं, वहीं कांगड़ा जिले की बालकरूपी पंचायत और आसपास के गाँवों के लोग आज भी 4G नेटवर्क के लिए तरस रहे हैं। हैरानी की बात यह है कि नेटवर्क न होने के बावजूद ग्रामीणों के पैसे 5G रिचार्ज पैक्स पर बर्बाद हो रहे हैं।
ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि यहाँ मोबाइल नेटवर्क लगभग न के बराबर है। वॉइस कॉल के लिए भी लोगों को पहाड़ियों पर चढ़ना पड़ता है। कुछ गाँवों में टावर का ढाँचा मौजूद है, लेकिन उसमें फ्रीक्वेंसी न लगने के कारण वह बेकार पड़ा है।
सरकारी योजनाओं जैसे डिजिटल हिमाचल का लाभ इन गाँवों तक नहीं पहुँचा। कई उपभोक्ताओं के मोबाइल पर पुराने 4G पैक ऑटो-रिन्यू हो रहे हैं, जिन्हें कंपनियाँ महंगे 5G पैक्स में बदल रही हैं। नेटवर्क न होने के कारण लोगों को यह भी पता नहीं चलता कि उनका पैसा बेकार जा रहा है।
स्थानीय लोग प्रशासन और दूरसंचार कंपनियों से मांग कर रहे हैं कि जल्द से जल्द यहाँ उचित नेटवर्क सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाए, ताकि वे भी डिजिटल इंडिया का हिस्सा बन सकें।
Kangra, August 22. While India is moving rapidly towards “Digital India” and telecom companies are heavily promoting 5G services, residents of Balkarupi Panchayat and nearby villages in Kangra district are still struggling for basic 4G connectivity. Shockingly, despite no proper network, people are losing money on 5G recharge packs.
Villagers complain that there is almost no mobile signal in the area. For voice calls, many have to climb hills to catch even a minimal signal. Although some villages have mobile tower structures, they remain non-functional as no frequencies have been installed.
Schemes like Digital Himachal have not reached these remote villages. Many users are unknowingly paying for 5G recharge packs due to auto-renewal systems, but without network infrastructure, these services are of no use.
Locals have urged authorities and telecom providers to resolve the issue quickly and ensure proper connectivity so that they too can benefit from the promise of Digital India.
