कुल्लू, 23 अगस्त : जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त तोरुल एस. रवीश की अध्यक्षता में आज मतदान केंद्रों के युक्तिकरण को लेकर महत्वपूर्ण बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। इस बैठक में मान्यता प्राप्त राष्ट्रीय राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ-साथ उच्च शिक्षा, प्रारंभिक शिक्षा और निर्वाचन विभाग के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
बैठक में जिले के विभिन्न विधानसभा क्षेत्रों से प्राप्त सुझावों और आपत्तियों पर विस्तार से चर्चा हुई। उपायुक्त ने बताया कि मनाली विधानसभा क्षेत्र से 7 नए मतदान केंद्र बनाने, एक मतदान केंद्र का भवन बदलने और एक मतदान केंद्र को शिफ्ट करने का प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुआ है। इसी तरह कुल्लू विधानसभा क्षेत्र से 1 नया मतदान केंद्र, बंजार विधानसभा क्षेत्र से 1 नया मतदान केंद्र और भवन परिवर्तन का प्रस्ताव, जबकि आनी विधानसभा क्षेत्र से भी एक नए मतदान केंद्र का प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुआ है।
उन्होंने कहा कि इन सभी प्रस्तावों का अध्ययन कर निर्वाचन आयोग को भेजा जाएगा ताकि मतदाताओं को अधिक सुगम और सुलभ मतदान सुविधा प्रदान की जा सके। बैठक में पारदर्शिता और निष्पक्षता पर बल दिया गया।
Kullu, August 23: A crucial meeting on the rationalization of polling stations was chaired by District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish. Representatives of recognized national political parties, along with officials from higher education, elementary education, and the election department, attended the meeting.
During the discussion, proposals and objections received from various assembly constituencies were reviewed. The DC informed that from the Manali constituency, proposals for creating 7 new polling stations, changing one building, and shifting one polling station were received. Similarly, one new polling station proposal came from Kullu constituency, while Banjar constituency proposed one new polling station along with a building change. From Ani constituency, a proposal for a new polling station was also received.
The DC assured that all proposals will be thoroughly examined and forwarded to the Election Commission to ensure easier and more accessible voting facilities for the public. Transparency and fairness were emphasized during the meeting.
