नेरचौक, 13 सितंबर। बल्ह पुलिस की टीम ने चिट्टे के मुख्य सप्लायर नीरज शर्मा को छठी बार गिरफ्तार किया है। बीती रात पुलिस ने गांव टरोह निवासी नीरज शर्मा, पुत्र पीतांबर लाल शर्मा के घर दबिश देकर उसे 2.70 ग्राम चिट्टे सहित गिरफ्तार किया। इस दौरान उसके कमरे में धर्मपुर निवासी एक युवती भी पाई गई, जो नशे की आदी बताई जा रही है। पुलिस ने उसे पहली बार चेतावनी देकर छोड़ दिया।
एसएचओ बल्ह संजय कुमार के नेतृत्व में हेड कांस्टेबल रामचंद्र, हेड कांस्टेबल मनु राणा, कॉन्स्टेबल राजकुमार और गृह रक्षक सावित्री देवी की टीम ने यह कार्रवाई की। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि नीरज शर्मा पहले भी पांच बार चिट्टे के साथ पकड़ा जा चुका है, लेकिन बार-बार छूट जाने से वह नशे का कारोबार फिर शुरू कर देता है।
ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से मांग की है कि इस बार सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए, क्योंकि यह गिरोह रात को गांवों में सप्लाई कर रहा है जिससे लोग परेशान हैं। उनका कहना है कि बड़ी गाड़ियां और बाइक रात में गांवों में आती-जाती हैं जिससे माहौल बिगड़ रहा है। स्थानीय लोगों में भारी आक्रोश है और वे चाहते हैं कि इस बार आरोपी को सख्त सजा मिले ताकि युवाओं का भविष्य सुरक्षित हो सके।

The operation was carried out under the leadership of SHO Balh Sanjay Kumar with Head Constables Ram Chandra, Manu Rana, Constable Rajkumar, and Home Guard Savitri Devi. According to investigators, Neeraj Sharma has been arrested five times earlier for similar drug-related offenses, but he continued supplying drugs after being released.
Local villagers have expressed anger and demanded strict action, alleging that Neeraj and his associates supply drugs at night in villages instead of towns. They claimed suspicious vehicles frequently enter the villages at night, disturbing peace and security. The residents urged authorities to ensure strict punishment this time to protect the youth from falling into the drug menace.
