प्रदेश सरकार मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू के नेतृत्व में नागरिकों को बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करने की दिशा में पूर्ण प्रतिबद्धता के साथ कार्य कर रही है। यह बात स्वास्थ्य, सामाजिक न्याय एवं सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री कर्नल डॉ. धनीराम शांडिल ने सोलन जिले के बद्दी स्थित राज्य औषधि परीक्षण प्रयोगशाला के निरीक्षण के दौरान कही।
उन्होंने बताया कि यह प्रयोगशाला उत्तर भारत की एकमात्र और देश की शीर्ष तीन प्रयोगशालाओं में से एक है। यहां प्रतिवर्ष 6000 दवा सैंपलों की जांच क्षमता है, जिनमें से अब तक 2783 सैंपल प्राप्त हुए हैं और 1845 की जांच पूरी की गई है। इनमें से 28 सैंपल तय मानकों पर खरे नहीं उतरे।
डॉ. शांडिल ने कहा कि सरकार राज्य के सभी मेडिकल कॉलेजों को आधुनिक तकनीकों से लैस कर रही है, जिसके लिए ₹1730 करोड़ का निवेश किया जा रहा है। पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ, नर्सों और तकनीशियनों की भर्ती भी तेज़ी से की जा रही है और जीएनएम की सीटों में भी वृद्धि प्रस्तावित है।
इस अवसर पर उन्होंने प्राकृतिक आपदा में मारे गए 62 लोगों को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए दो मिनट का मौन रखा। साथ ही कहा कि स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, सड़क और सामाजिक सुरक्षा जैसे क्षेत्रों में राज्य सरकार का ध्यान और निवेश लगातार बढ़ रहा है।
कार्यक्रम में दून के विधायक रामकुमार चौधरी, नालागढ़ के विधायक हरदीप सिंह बावा सहित स्वास्थ्य विभाग व उद्योग क्षेत्र के अधिकारी, दवा निर्माता एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal Pradesh Government is committed to delivering quality healthcare services to its citizens, said Health, Social Justice and Sainik Welfare Minister Col. Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil during his inspection of the State Drug Testing Laboratory at Baddi, Solan district.
Dr. Shandil stated that this lab is among the top three drug testing labs in the country and the only one in North India. It has the capacity to test 6,000 samples annually, with 2,783 samples received and 1,845 tested so far. Out of these, 28 samples were found non-compliant with standard norms.
He added that the state government is investing ₹1,730 crore to equip all medical colleges with advanced healthcare infrastructure. Recruitment is ongoing for paramedics, nurses, and technicians, and GNM seats will also be increased.
A two-minute silence was observed to honor 62 lives lost in recent natural calamities. Dr. Shandil emphasized that health, education, roads, and social security remain top priorities in the current administration.
The event was attended by MLAs Ramkumar Chaudhary (Doon), Hardeep Singh Bawa (Nalagarh), senior Congress leaders, industry officers, and representatives from the pharmaceutical sector.
