शिमला, 19 जुलाई। हिमाचल प्रदेश इस समय भयंकर आपदा से जूझ रहा है, लेकिन प्रदेश के लोक निर्माण मंत्री का कहीं अता-पता नहीं है। यह आरोप नाचन से भाजपा विधायक एवं प्रदेश भाजपा सचिव विनोद कुमार ने लगाए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य में कई स्थानों पर भारी बारिश और भूस्खलन से भारी तबाही हुई है, सड़कें बंद हैं और जनसुविधाएं बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुई हैं।
विनोद कुमार ने कहा कि लोक निर्माण मंत्री को इस संकट की घड़ी में जनता के साथ खड़ा होना चाहिए था, लेकिन वे कहीं नजर नहीं आ रहे। उन्होंने बताया कि कई इलाकों में ग्रामीणों ने खुद पैसे इकट्ठे कर मशीनें लगवाईं ताकि सड़कों को खोल सकें, क्योंकि लोक निर्माण विभाग अब तक वहां नहीं पहुंचा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि खराब सड़कों के कारण न केवल आम जनजीवन प्रभावित हो रहा है, बल्कि फल, फूल और सब्जियों की खेती करने वाले किसानों को भी भारी नुकसान हो रहा है क्योंकि उनकी उपज समय पर बाजार नहीं पहुंच पा रही है। उन्होंने सवाल उठाया कि जब प्रदेश को मंत्री की सबसे ज़्यादा आवश्यकता है, तब वे दिखाई क्यों नहीं दे रहे?
Shimla, July 19: As Himachal Pradesh reels under the impact of heavy rain and landslides, BJP MLA from Nachan and state party secretary Vinod Kumar has strongly criticized the absence of the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister. He claimed that roads remain blocked in many areas, essential services are yet to be restored, and the minister is nowhere to be seen during this crucial time.
Vinod Kumar stated that people in affected areas are hiring private machinery at their own cost to reopen blocked roads, as PWD has failed to reach remote locations. He emphasized that the slow pace of road restoration is putting lives at risk—patients cannot reach hospitals, and even relief supplies are struggling to make it to those in need.
He further added that most of the disaster-hit regions rely heavily on horticulture and floriculture, and perishable produce is rotting due to poor road connectivity. “When the people need him the most, the PWD Minister is missing in action,” he said.
