चक्की पुल पूरी तरह सुरक्षित: उत्तर रेलवे ने किया खंडन
पठानकोट, 24 जुलाई 2025 — हाल ही में कुछ मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स में पठानकोट के चक्की रेलवे पुल की स्थिति को लेकर आशंका जताई गई थी, जिसे उत्तर रेलवे ने पूरी तरह निराधार और भ्रामक करार दिया है। रेलवे ने कहा कि यह पुल पूरी तरह सुरक्षित है और रेल परिचालन सुचारु रूप से जारी है।
उत्तर रेलवे की प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, पठानकोट कैंट और कंदरोड़ी स्टेशनों के बीच स्थित इस पुल पर 20 और 21 जुलाई को बाढ़ का जलस्तर असामान्य रूप से बढ़ गया था, लेकिन पूर्व तैयारी के तहत 1 अगस्त 2024 से ही 20 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की गति सीमा लागू कर दी गई थी।
रेलवे ने स्पष्ट किया कि ढहने की खबरें जिस संरचना को लेकर फैलाई गई थीं, वह पुल की मूल नींव का हिस्सा नहीं थी, बल्कि एक ढलान पर लगी क्लैडिंग थी, जिसे पूर्व योजना के अनुसार हटाया जाना था। इसके टूटने से न तो पुल की संरचना को नुकसान पहुंचा और न ही किसी भी प्रकार का सुरक्षा जोखिम उत्पन्न हुआ।
रेलवे ने बताया कि आईआईटी रुड़की की निगरानी में पुल का सुरक्षा कार्य प्रगति पर है और 22 जुलाई को मुख्य पुल अभियंता द्वारा स्थल का निरीक्षण कर पुल को सुरक्षित घोषित किया गया। साथ ही पुल पर चौबीसों घंटे निगरानी के लिए गार्ड और CCTV भी तैनात हैं।
उत्तर रेलवे ने यात्रियों से अफवाहों पर ध्यान न देने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि वे रेलवे सेवाओं पर पूरा विश्वास बनाए रखें।
Chakki Bridge Completely Safe, Says Northern Railway
Pathankot, July 24, 2025 — The Northern Railway has issued an official clarification regarding concerns raised in some media reports about the safety of the Chakki railway bridge between Pathankot Cantt and Kandrori stations, asserting that the bridge is structurally sound and fully operational.
According to a press release, due to sudden flood-like conditions on July 20 and 21, the water level of the river had increased temporarily. However, as a precautionary measure, a speed restriction of 20 km/h was already enforced from August 1, 2024.
The part of the structure seen as collapsed in viral reports was not the foundation, but slope cladding, which had already been marked for removal. Its absence has no impact on train safety.
Railway engineers, under the guidance of IIT Roorkee, are constantly monitoring the bridge. A detailed inspection by the Chief Bridge Engineer on July 22 reaffirmed that the bridge is safe.
The site is under 24/7 surveillance with guards and CCTV coverage. As soon as the river water recedes, pending pile foundation work will resume.
