कांगड़ा, 20 अगस्त 2025 – भारी बारिश के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त चक्की खड्ड पुल पर रेल यातायात ठप हो गया था, लेकिन अब इसके शीघ्र बहाल होने की उम्मीद है। संसद में कांगड़ा लोकसभा सांसद डॉ. राजीव भरद्वाज द्वारा उठाए गए प्रश्न के उत्तर में केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने बताया कि पठानकोट–जोगिंदरनगर रेल लाइन पर 20 अगस्त से यातायात बंद है। उन्होंने कहा कि पुल की मरम्मत का कार्य अग्रिम स्तर पर चल रहा है और इसे जल्द पूरा कर दिया जाएगा।
रेल मंत्री ने यह भी आश्वस्त किया कि रेलवे प्रशासन अवैध खनन के मुद्दे पर राज्य सरकार के साथ निरंतर संवाद में है और इस पर ठोस कार्रवाई की आवश्यकता है।
इसी दौरान केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने जानकारी दी कि कांगड़ा जिले में सड़क बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करने की दिशा में कई महत्वपूर्ण कार्य जारी हैं। भंगवार से कांगड़ा तक 18 किलोमीटर चार लेन सड़क का निर्माण चल रहा है, जिसमें से 14 किलोमीटर पूरा हो चुका है। शेष 4 किलोमीटर का कार्य 31 दिसंबर 2025 तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है।
इसके अलावा चिलबाहल से कोहली मार्ग का निर्माण भी इसी समय सीमा तक पूरा होगा। इन परियोजनाओं से न केवल यातायात सुगम होगा बल्कि आर्थिक गतिविधियों में भी नई ऊर्जा आएगी।
Kangra, August 20, 2025 – Rail traffic on the Chakki Bridge, damaged due to heavy rainfall, is expected to resume soon. Responding to a question raised by Kangra MP Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj in Parliament, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that traffic on the Pathankot–Jogindernagar rail line has been suspended since August 20 due to damage to the Chakki Khad bridge. He assured that repair work is being carried out on priority and the line will be operational again shortly.
The minister also emphasized that the railway administration has been coordinating with the state government on the issue of illegal mining and expects strict action.
Meanwhile, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari shared that major road development projects are underway in Kangra. Out of the 18 km Bhanguar–Kangra four-lane road, 14 km has already been completed, with the remaining stretch set for completion by December 31, 2025.
Additionally, the Chilbahal–Kohli road project is also progressing and is expected to be completed within the same timeline. These projects will significantly improve connectivity and boost economic activities in the region.
